Chapter 3: Lucy, huh?

   ~Natsu's P.O.V~

"What did you say Ice princess?!"

"I said stop starin' at me flame brain!"

"I wasn't the one staring at you popsicle!"

"Hope you guys are getting along well!" Erza says while glaring at us.

"O-oh yeah! Never been better!" Me and Gray say in unison. As Erza kept on lecturing us about getting along and to stop arguing all the time, I was slowly dozing off until my eyes landed on the same girl I saw from earlier this morning. She was talking to a certain bluenette, Levy McGarden to be exact. I was dating one of her close friends, Cana but we broke up because I just got bored of her. I don't usually date girls for long time periods, just around 2 or 3 weeks and then I just end up dumping them. It looks like I was about to do this again, except with this chic.

Just then the bell rings and everyone rushes to their seats, The blonde still just standing there.

"Good morning class!" The teacher exclaims.

"Good morning Mr.Makarov." The class responds, boringly.

   As he notices the certain blonde girl standing at the door, he greets her and signals her to sit in between me and Gray. I look away, trying not to stare as she walks by my desk and sits right next to me.

"Alright class today were going to be focusing on rocks"

Woohoo rocks. I thought to myself.

I look over to the girl sitting next to me and start to introduce myself.

"Hey, I'm Natsu." I whisper to her and stretch my hand out for her to shake. We sit in the back of the class so no one could really notice us, not to mention our teachers terrible eye sight.

"Lucy." She says as she shakes my hand. I think I held on to her hand a little too long, because she starts to give me a look and then says,

"You can let go now." 

"Oh, sorry." I tell her and start to rub my hand against the back of my neck.

"Lucy, huh?"

"Yeah"

"That's a nice name."

"Thanks."

"So, Luce, do you wanna sit next to me and the guys during lunch?"

"Sorry, but I'm already sitting next to someone."

Wow. that's the first time someone has ever rejected my offer

"Really, who?"

"Levy."

"Oh"

There was a small silence between us as the teacher begins to ramble.

"Okay class, everyone get with a partner, your project is to pick one out of these eight rocks. You are to create a model of the exact rock and wright a short description about the rock. Of course, your rock has to be about five times bigger than the original..."

"Hurry up and pick your partners I can care less who." The teacher says.

 As the teacher finished his sentence, I decided that I wanted to partner up with Lucy. So once everyone got up looking for partners I walked up in front of Lucy as she was putting her books in her bag.

"Hey Luc-"

"Hey Natsu! Wanna be my partner?" Asked a silver haired girl.

"No thanks, Lisanna" I say, turning her way.

"Come on Natsu! You know you want to!"

"No, I really don't" She makes a pouty face

Lisanna is my ex, apparently she's crazy about me and that's what really made me want to break up with her, other than the fact that its kinda a habit for me.

I look back to ask Lucy to be my partner, but she had already walked out the door.

"And just like that, Cinderella was gone." Gray whispered in my ear.

"Oh shut up Ice popsicle."

"Whaddya call me?!"

"You heard me!"

"ENOUGH" Mr.Makarov yelled at us.

He sighed. Then said, "You two are going to detention."
