~Natsu's P.O.V~

I was suddenly shocked by the news. I could feel my hands shaking as my breath hitched into the mic of the phone.

"S-She's...Alive?"

"Yes sir"

"Ok, please tell her I'm on my way back to the hospital."

"Ok"

I ended the call and got up immediately. I rushed out the mini corridor and out the front door, and stuck my keys into the car. As much as I was excited to see Lucy, I didn't want to repeat what just happened, so I still went with the speed limits and didn't try to beat a red light.

I soon arrived and checked into the hospital.
I walked slowly into her room, slightly peeking through the door.

"Luce..?"

"N-Natsu..?" I heard her barley whisper.

"She just woke up while you were on the way."

The nurse spoke. I then walked fully into the room and closed the door gently behind me. I walked up to Lucy and sat down next to her, while placing my hand gently on hers.

"Luce...? You doin ok..? Anything you need..?"

She shook her head softly, not wanting to speak.

"Why don't you get some more rest Luce...I'll be sittin over here if you need me." I said pointing to a blue sofa that sat in front of a window.

She then nodded and drifted off to sleep, soon after I did the same.

~2 and a half hours later~

"Nastu...?" I woke up immediately to her hearing a soft angelic voice.

"Yeah Luce?"

"Can you please hand me that water over there?" She asked pointing to a water bottle.

"Yeah hang on."

I said as I poured some into a small paper cup, then getting a straw out of a cabinet.

"Here, this should make it easier for you to drink." I said as I lifted it up to her mouth as she drank some.

"Thanks Natsu."

"No prob." I said sitting down at the edge of her hospital bed.

The nurse then walked into to the room, catching out attention.

"Lucy is gonna have to stay here for 2 more weeks, so she can fully recover and be in state where she's able to head back home."
I nodded my head as she walked out again, leaving us alone.

"Natsu?" She said my name softly.

"Yeah Luce?"

"P-please stay here with me." She said, small tears forming at the corner of her eyes.

"Of course Lucy. I'd never leave you."
She smiled a soft smile at my response.

"Thank you, Natsu." I smiled my toothy grin at her.

~Time skip a month later brought to you by Gray's weird stripping habit~

"N-Natsu!" She yelled out loud, outta breath.
"S-Stahp!"
"Never!" I continued to tickle her until my fingers started cramping a bit. I looked back at her on the floor as she clutched her stomach and wiped the tears from her eyes.
We just had a huge tickle fight, and I clearly won. Just then a blue feline came inside from her opened window.

"Meow..."

Lucy looked up at me.

"N-Natsu...did you just...meow?"

"WAT! No!" I said pouting looking the other way. We both looked behind Lucy and saw a rare sight...a blue cat. Lucy jumped up from her place and walked slowly to the cat, letting the cat smell her hand first and then soon picked it up.

"Can we keep him Natsu...? Pleeeaase?"
She started begging like a child. Which is weird because that's usually my role. I chuckled slightly.

"Sure, I don't see why not."

Me and Lucy moved in with each other and stayed at a brand new apartment after the accident. She wanted to never leave my side, and I felt the same for her. So we agreed to just move in with each other.

"What should we call him"

We both thought for a moment. Just then a light bulb appeared in my mind.

"Let's name him Happy!"

"Why Happy?"

"Because he came to us while we were having one of our happiest moments." I said crawling up to her to sit beside her.

"Ok! Happy it is!" She shouted. We then looked down at the cat Lucy was petting, and found him purring in his sleep.

We laid him down in soft blanket that was spread out on the couch.

"Race you upstairs?" I challenged her.

"Oh, your on!"

1...

"GOO!!!!" We both started running up the stairs, only to fall and trip on each other.

"Hey quiet up there!" We heard an old guy say. We lived on the second story so he probably just heard a bunch of banging.

Me and Lucy both laughed and we soon realized the position we were in...she was underneath me, while I was on top of her, kinda in a push-up stance. We both instantly blushed and moved away quickly and sat up against the wall.

"Hey Luce..?"

"Yeah Natsu?"

"Love ya!"

"Love you too...baka."
