Chapter 10: Alive

   ~A/N~
Blah blah blah...Lets just read da story.

  ~Gray's P.O.V~
   Once everyone made it to the hospital, I explained what had happened to the two. Most of them were in utter shock, others scared of the outcome, such as I. We were told to wait in the waiting room, so we did. But it wasn't in till an hour or two we were told that only two people can go in to visit at a time.

   ~Natsu's P.O.V~
   Sirens began to ring in my ear as I was slowly starting to gain conscience. That's when I soon realized I was in an ambulance, and that I wasn't alone. I looked to the left of me to see a blonde girl, Lucy to be exact. I was still dizzy, everything looked like it was in slow motion. Like the really bad quality you would get when your trying to record at night.

Lucy...

I whispered her name. I held her hand, but felt no response. That's when I was slowly dozing off to sleep.

I had woken up once again to the sound of someone opening the door, but kept my eyes closed because I was far too tired to open them.

"Natsu?" I heard someone say silently. I opened one of my eyes to see who it was, and then opened both.

"Gray? What do you want, Baka."

"Your one to talk, flame brain."

"Ice princess!" I said raising my voice a little higher, but it was obviously cracking and it sounded like I lost my voice.

"Fire freak!"

"You wanna go?"

"Yeah let's-!"

"Gray!" That was the first time Juvia had ever said his name without a 'sama' at the end.

"I can't believe you two. Your still arguing despite the critical condition your in Natsu!"

Can't believe I'm getting a lecture from Juvia.

I then looked around the room and realized Lucy wasn't with me.

"Where's Lucy?"

"She's in her own room, Natsu." Juvia answered.

Natsu laid back again against the hospital bed. He started to worry about the blonde.

"But hey, we came in here to check up on you, Natsu, how ya feeling?" She asked politely.

"I feel fine, I guess." Of course I was in pain, just didn't want anybody worrying about me.

"Mr.Dragneel?" The doctor asked.

"Yeah?"

"Your going to have to stay overnight, as well as Lucy, just thought you should be informed."

"Ok." He then was about to walk out, when I stopped him.

"Wait!-"

   ~Levy's P.O.V~
   "Lu-Chan.." I whispered aloud. Gajeel was standing beside me.

"She's on life support right now." The doctor informed us.

"Excuse me, but shouldn't her parents be here?" Asked Gajeel, one eyebrow raised.

"We have indeed left a voicemail for her father, but didn't get a response."

"Tch." Was all I heard from Gajeel after the doctor told us that.

"Excuse me, doctor." Said another doctor, rushing in.

"Yes?"

"Mr.Dragneel requested that we move Ms.Heartfilia into his room."

"We cannot do that, she's on life support right now, but if he must be with her we can simply move him into here."

"Will do." Said the doctor and left.

   ~Natsu's P.O.V~
   "Mr.Dragneel, we cannot move Ms.Heartfilia into here, but we can move you into her room."

I wanted to question why, but I just let it go. "Ok." Was all I responded with.

They then rolled my bed into Lucy's room, my bed beside hers.

"Are you two together?" Asked the doctor.

No, we weren't officially together, but I knew if there was something critically wrong with Lucy, they would only tell the people that are close to her.

"Yes."

"Mr.Dragneel, Lucy is on life support right now. She was whip-lashed across the car and merged through the window shield. We then knew, Lucy had forgotten to buckle."

I stared at her. Horror in my eyes. I was scared. Shocked. I had never had this feeling in my life. It felt like someone just stabbed me in the chest and ripped my heart out.

"I'm sorry Mr.Dragneel, but there is about a 50/50 chance she may survive this."

I winced at her words. I was dying inside. It hurt me so bad I just wanted to end it all there.

Lucy...

Was the only thing that fell upon my lips.
