Lilly's POV

Few Weeks Later:

For the past few weeks, me and Yousef have been struggling. Financially. To a point where Yousef's shit experiments ain't cutting the bills.

And for those wondering where I am, I'm yet at an interview. I seriously don't want to do this but I'm losing money and that's not good.

I straighten my pencil skirt whilst I'm sitting down, watching all the employees rush past each other, trying to get to their offices.

All I needed was a 9 to 5 job that would bring up my finances and let me at least pay back all my debts.

I opened my phone and see a good luck message from Yousef. I smile as I explode the messaging section with love hearts. I'm seriously so extra sometimes.

"Um Lilly Singh?"

A brunette girl with mocha skin interrupted me from my current emoji spam. I look up and nod. She then smiles back and leads me to the office.

Here we go.

I walk into the office so be blinded by the sunlight. I close the door to be greeted by a girl wearing a maroon pantsuit. She looks at me with surprise before greeting me.

"Hi, hello. You are?"

"Lilly. Lilly Singh" I smile as I hold my hand to shake but she ignores and sits down at the desk. Awkwardly, I take the seat in front of her and smile.

"So, Lilly Singh, why R.Cooperation?" She asks, looking at me.

"Because it's the best company out there. I have really wanted to work here for a long time but I haven't been able to grab a appointment as you're such a busy, hard working woman." I lie and smile at her and she laughs.

She stands up from her chair and walks to the side of her office, where she pours herself a cup of coffee.

"That's the most bullshit I've heard in years" My eyes widen at what she said. Clearly she's heard that type of shit before.

"Well, I cant suck up to you anymore can I?" I shoot back and she looks at me.

"Well, you can but it won't be as enjoyable as it was before" The woman winks at me as she returns to her desk with a cup of fresh coffee.

"Let's see your CV boo" I hand her my CV and she examines it very carefully. To be honest, I know I've lost this job due to the fact I know that phone call is coming and I've shown myself up in front of the boss.

"Hmmm. Masters degree. Impressive" She nods as she continues to read the rest.

"Well Lilly, you turned out better than I thought you would've"

I was a little taken back when she said that. She returns my CV to me and looks at me smugly.

"You don't recognise me, do you?" She looks at me as I shake my head in confusion. I've never met her in my life.

"Ok let me give you some events and you'll be able to guess from there" She laughs as the woman gets out of her chair and sits on the glass desk.

"Ok number one. I went to Lakeside High School"

I listen to her as I sit back and let her carry on.

"Number two. We were best friends back then"

Nosh? Nah, I think I'd recognise her in a heartbeat to be honest.

"Number three. You fucked both of my boyfriends at separate parties"

I rub my temples as I take grasp of who it is. She looked way different. Her hair was all blonde and she had cut it so it only reaches her shoulders. And damn, she's lost weight.

"Jesus, Lauren Riihimaki it's you" I give her the fakest smile ever.

Wow.
