Chapter 5.

Wake up. A voice spoke.

My eyes open and they stare right into Xavier's green eyes. This was the first time I got to see his face up close. I haven't notice how captivating his eyes were. They were the color of emerald green.

I push myself up from the ground and fixed my disheveled hair. Xavier had his hand around my arm and he quickly let's go when I look at it. He had quite a firm grip.

"It's time to go." He said.

"O-Okay" I stuttered.

"What's wrong with you?" He said bitterly. I wasn't going to respond with that kind of attitude. I brush past him and run down the stairs. Xavier was beginning to show a little more of himself. Aside from being a cold-hearted killer, he was most likely short-tempered and impatient.

Becca and Finn were waiting by the stairs.

"Feeling better?" Finn asked.

"Yeah."

Xavier moves from behind and cuts us to get to the front door.

"And how was your sleep Mr. Grumpy?" Finn jokingly said.

Xavier opened the door and glared at him. "Don't joke with me. Two hours of sleep sucks." He pushes a laughing Finn out the door.

Walking out, there's a yellow taxi cab in front of us. I climb into the backseat, then Becca and then Finn. Xavier sits in the front seat and asks the cab driver to take us to the airport.

Finn and Xavier helps us get boarding passes while Becca and I were sitting on a metal bench, chatting. Finn flashes a smile at the blushing lady who helped them and walks toward us.

"Here you go ladies." He said. He gives Becca her boarding pass but he doesn't hand mine. He leans down and shows me his cheek, tapping it. "Can I have a little peck miss." He said.

I snatched my boarding pass from his hands.

"I don't play with that." I said. Becca laughs a little behind me and Finn goes over to her, throwing his arm over her shoulder.

Something I learned about Finn was, he is quite flirty and playful. When I first laid eyes on him I thought he was like Xavier: Aggressive. Turns out I was wrong, he was the complete opposite.

"Come on." Interrupting our little fun, Xavier urges us to hurry.

Out of nowhere a little blue book hits me on the chest and falls to my arms: It was a passport. I looked inside and saw my old fourteen year old face in it.

"I don't need to carry it anymore." He said and starts walking towards security.

We get to security and line up behind Xavier. He pulls out his passport, phone and wallet from his pocket and takes off his boots. I take off my shoes and put them inside the plastic box along with my passport. Then Finn and Becca do the same procedure.

We walked to our designated gate and sat on the blue seats. I was sitting between Becca and Finn while Xavier sat across from us. There weren't much people here, only a few.

"Hey." Xavier said across.

I look up just in time he throws a black book to me. I catch it and glare at him.

"That belongs to you. It's from your grandpa."

I held the journal tightly in my palms. "I'd appreciate it if you'd stop throwing things at me." I looked at him for a second and then back down to the book. I flip through the pages and they were all filled with Gramp's handwriting. I open the journal.
