As soon as I landed in Vegas I knew it would take me awhile to adjust to the new atmosphere.

I went from seeing regular trees to palm trees. I came from humid weather to dry heat. The whole scenery was different, but I loved it.

My mom and I walked through the airport dodging the many slot machines that was calling our name.

"Is Terrell here yet?" My mom asked as we waited for my suitcases near baggage claim.

"I just texted him he said he's waiting for us."

"This airport is huge Rico, I hope we can find him."

"Relax ma, we will find him." I chuckled as I grabbed two of my suitcases waiting for the other one to come around.

After I had all my belongings my mom and I found my cousin Terrell posted up against the wall scrolling through his phone.

"What up cuzzzz." We dapped hands.

"Aunt Renae, how you doing?" Terrell and my mom hugged.

"I'm good big head. How are you?"

"Good, livin' it up out here." Terrell grabbed my mom bags.

"Thanks sweetie."

"No problem. So what's the plan cuz?"

"Drop this stuff off at the crib and moms wanted to help me get some stuff for my room."

"Oh yeah you and Keshawn can share a room."

"That's cool with me as long as we don't have to share a bed."

Terrell and my mom busted out laughing.

"I ain't laughing I'm serious."

Once we pulled up to Terrell's apartment he showed me where I would be staying.

I knocked on Keshawn's door before I entered. He had a blunt in one hand and a bottle in the other.
