Simon's P.O.V.

Simon James Stone, at your service! I used to live in New York City but, my mom and I moved here to Belville for her job.

This was definitely switch for the both of us because we grew up in New York and were used to small living. Small to most people was just cozy to us, all we ever needed was our little two bedroom flat twenty stories up. Now we have a full sized house, this place is huge! Two floors, an attic, a basement, and what seems like twenty bedrooms. Well, maybe not twenty bedrooms, but this place is massive compared to our old home.

As I said earlier, I live with just my mom. My dad cheated on her and left when I was really young so, I don't remember him much. I was only two or three when he left so my mom just told me that he was going on a trip and wouldn't be back for a while. When I was sixteen my mom told me what actually what happened. Long story short, my mom was a cover-up for his sexuality so he didn't have to come out to his family and, my mom found him in bed with another man so he left.

Neither my mom nor I are mad at him, his family is, to put it lightly, crazy, bible-thumping catholics. He just did what he had to do to protect himself. Yeah we were both hurt but in the end we are just glad he wasn't hurt by them.

Now no more sad stuff, back to present day. I'm walking down the hallway of my new school when I run into someting, hard. Me being the skinny seventeen year old guy that I am, I fell flat on my ass.

"What the fuck?" says a feminine voice above me.

"Well isn't this a good first impression?" I ask standing up from the dirty floor.

"So, Newbie, what are you doing here so damn early? No one else besides the staff is here." she says sassily.

I don't notice her attitude much because who am I to deny sass, when I'm the Sasslord? "Well, you're here, aren't you?" I retort.

"Well," she states mocking my tone, "I am the school's very own weirdo so, it doesn't matter why I'm here, Newbie."

I'm kind of taken aback by this but I rersort back to sass, "Since you are so curious, I like to be early and, I have a name by the way. Simon James Stone at your service," I reply matter-of-factly as I do a dramatic bow.

"Hasn't anyone ever told you, Simon, that names are special and you shouldn't give them away so easily?" she asks me with smuggness dripping from her voice as she pushes past me in the direction from where I came from.

This nameless girl has managed to make me speechless. Not a single person that I have ever met has done that. At that moment I knew I wanted to be her friend. I need to get to know her. Yeah it's my junoir year but, it's never too late to make friends. Right?

Reguardless I have to try.
