Twilight Fanfic Chapter 5

Recap: Bella came back to Forks to see her dad, but Jacob was already there. They started making out when Sam came out and said they needed to talk to the pack.

"Race ya' there?" Jacob said. I nodded and smiled. "Okay, 1, 2..." I reached over and kissed him. He looked pretty dazed. "3!" I sprinted off and when I was a distance away from him I turned around and saw him standing there with a dazed expression still. "Hey Captain Doofus! You coming or not?" I yelled back at him. He smirked and then shifted. I started running to the reservation with Jacob tailing me. We finally got there and.... Jacob was the winner, by the tip of his nose. "I won, You lost, I'm a winner, Your a loser, suck on that, nananana!" Jacob sung. "I let you win." I said sticking my toungue out at him. "No! You just don't have enough skills. I rolled my eyes and walked over to Jacob's house. The whole pack was standing out there. Sam, Paul, Jared, Quil, Embry, Leah, and Seth. Billy and Emily were out there too. Normally they were all smiling at me and they would embrace me in a big group hug but today was different. I was kind of ashamed of what I've become. I mean sometimes I do miss my human life. But I couldn't get it back now. "Uhh, Hi." I said awkwardly. "What happened to you Bella? What monster did this?" Sam asked. "Well I was very stupid and wasn't thinking after Edward left, so I went walking in a big clearing forgetting that two powerful vampires were after me. One of the vampires came and changed me, he said that Victoria was going to kill me later. Uhh I can leave if you don't want me here I didn't really get changed by choice..." I explained. "I see." Sam said. "They all huddled up and they were using their mid connection thing. Dang I wish I had one of those. Soon they were finished and got out of their little huddle. Jared, Paul and Leah didn't look too happy. I guess the didn't want me to stay. "We're letting you stay, but under one condition. You can cross into our land but stay out of our way and no killing people. Okay?" Sam said. "Oh thanks!" I smiled at all of them even the ones that weren't smiling back at me. "I promise I won't. Now I've got to go back to Charlie's house. Bye." I waved at all of them and started running back to the house. After running for a few seconds I stopped outside the my house in the forest. I was concealed but I could still see Charlie's house. Outside was a sparkly, silver volvo. Oh crap. I smelt myself. I smelt like Jake and the pack. I put on perfume and switched some clothes that were in my car. I guiltily thought of Edward, I felt like I was cheating on him, but he left me so it didn't really matter who I smelled like. I listened very closely and heard Charlie yelling at Edward for leaving me. Aww. Good ol' Charlie. I decided I would just walk in nonchalantly. I walked towards the house with my heels clacking away. I fixed my hair and walked inside. As soon as I stepped in I saw Charlie pointing his finger at Edward at the kitchen table. I smiled, geez I missed his bronze hair, his golden eyes, his muscular jaw, his lips... Oh stop it Stephanie he left you. He doesn't want you anymore. "Hi Charlie." I said only looking at Charlie. He looked up in suprise. I saw Edward look up at me. "Oh hi Edward. I didn't realize you were here. Would you like some dinner?" I said with a fake smile on my face. I was still mad at him but Charlie didn't have to know that. "Oh no thanks, I already ate." Edward said looking distant. "Ok. Edward can I have a word with you outside? Something is wrong with my radio in my truck I was hoping you could fix it." I said smiling still. "Sure." Edward stood up. "I could fix it Bells." Charlie said, still glaring at Edward. "Oh no it's fine Dad." I said. He nodded and went over to the couch to watch the game. I walked outside and got in my truck. I had never switched trucks and I probably never would. Edward got in next to me. "Bella I'm sorry. I didn't know what I was doing. I thought it was for your own good. I thought my family was dangerous and you were always so fragile... I don't know what was wrong with me." I looked up at him and stared at his eyes. He had such a painstricken expression on. It pained me inside to see him like this. "It's alright." I said. His expression changed some. He seemed to look a little bit happier. He looked down at my hand and furrowed his eyebrows. I sighed. I reached over and gave him a hug. His muscular arm wrapped around me. I involuntarily sighed. I breathed in his scent. It was amazing. Suddenly Jake crossed my mind. I furrowed my eyebrow and pulled away. "Edward... I can't forgive you for everything right now. You're going to have to earn my trust back. I still like you but I also like Jacob. I'm sorry. I just need to decide." I said without looking at him. "Bella it's alright. Nothing here is your fault. There's no need to be sorry. I was pretty sure you were going to fall for another guy when I was gone. I understand I have a little competition." I laughed and he let out a chuckle.
