Chapter 6 - Such a Shame

Gaya nang inaasahan, dumating nga si Aldrin after 10 minutes. Natahimik ang lahat nang makita siya ng mga ito. He's face was still folded as if there's no progress on his company. Well, maybe that company is his sister. Just a little bit closer.

"Okay then. Let's start."

Lahat ay nag-sibalikan na sa mga nakassign na pwesto. Kami ang nasa unahang parte. Elevated part. Sa baba naman namin ang mga Counselor. Umupo na si Aldrin sa tabi ko. Nasa gitna namin siya ni Justin. Sa likod naman ni Justin ay si Hedrin Josh. Sa likod naman ni Hedrin Josh ay mga lalaking naka-black na nakapalibot sa buong room. Mga Lalaking Elite kung Hindi ako nagkakamali. Humarap ako sa mga counselor at bahagyang itinaas ang noo at tumingin sa taas para makita ang tatlong Generals sa ikalawang palapag ng room. Nakatayo lang sila at nasa likod ang mga kamay. Napansin ko naman ang pagtingin sakin ng dalawa kaya agad akong nagiwas ng tingin.

"I heard there is a happening inside the school. Is that true?"

Unang tanong ng isang sa mga Counselor. Mga nasa 180 ang nandito. 3 Generals, 4 na PPS Council at Hindi ko mabilang na Elite. Hindi ko din mabilang ang mga Counselor dahil madami-dami din sila.

"Yes, but we are able to handle it so you won't need to throw concern about it."

Sagot naman ni Aldrin. Mukhang maayos na siya.

"But, I guess, there is something which rang a bell on your precious minds to throw concern on the school? Finally."

I was confused about that Finally. Is there anything happened before I came here? Well, not interested anyway.

"You were able. Yes, you were able. But look. Almost half of the school properties are destroyed and two consecutive cases happened and it seems like it involved one of your Council."

Another one screamed out. Yes, almost a half of the school was destroyed because of the extracted energy from us. It was so hard to fight without energy.

Flashback

"Mineane! Move it!"

I ran towards the other guy across me as I jump to his back to get access from the culprit's bare back as I tried to slash my dagger to him but he was able to move faster and twisted his body. I fell on the ground as I groan in sudden pain. I have no strength to lose. This energy guy is so hard to fight with. He can get your strength so you won't be able to send attacks to him. This is goddamn crazy.

"Sh-t! Mineane!"

Justin shouted as he tries to stand up from the floor but it was so hard for him. He was lying on the floor, no strength and body feels, while Hedrin Josh and I is trying to defeat this Energy guy. He's the distraction together with the other student soldiers while the others are with me to attack from the back.

I made sure I stay put together so I could prepare for another attack again. Hedrin Josh swang his sword to the guy but before it could touch any part of the guy's body, I focused my dagger to my target as it blew a slight swing sound on the air. It hit my target as Hedrin Josh' did. The guy stopped and stiffed. He slowly falls down the ground. Humahangos na lumapit kami Christian Mendez. Dumuko SI Justin para tignan kung patay na ba ito o buhay. Hinawakan ni Justin ang noo nito at may kung anong sinabi na hindi ko narinig bago biglang nag-inhale si Christian Mendez at hinabol ang hininga. Yup, ability to bring back life. Breathe Taker ang tawag nila don.

"Chistian-Mendez.. y-you're ar-rested."

Hinihingal na sabi ni Hedrin Josh.
