Reader's POV:
I broke down and told the pair everything. Stephelia sat on the office chair with a blank face processing everything while Norman comforted me. Stephelia got up, and walked out of the room.
"I've always hated Adelaide, for the record." Norman said as my sniffling and tears died down.
I giggled silently, then someone knocked on the front door, the sound echoing around the house. I got up and walked downstairs, Norman following. A knock sounded on the door again. I opened the door, and there was every kid except for Stephelia and Simon standing at my front door.
"Can we come in?" Tora asked.
I nodded, then everyone filed into the living room, and sat down on couches. Norman, Amelia, Chrissy, and I sat on the couch along the left wall, even though it was a tight fit. Tora, Lily, Aggy, and Eric were sitting on the couch along the right wall. Seb, Kylie, Billy, and Wilfred were sitting on the couch along the back wall which faced the stairs. I didn't fail to notice Kylie and Wilfred's entwined hands.
"How about the younger ones go and play?" Tora suggested, and us older ones nodded.
Amelia, Chrissy, Aggy, Billy, Seb, and Eric left the house, then started to play games out the front of the houses.
"Y/n, what happened between you and Simon? We know you've broken up." Lily said.
"If you want to tell us what happened, that is." Tora added.
'We decided it better for him to marry Stephelia.' I stated, and everyone except for Norman gasped.
"Why?" Lily asked, outraged.
'Just because Cedric approves of Simon marrying a mute doesn't mean Adelaide will.' I signed.
"I think I can understand." Tora mumbled, then got up, and walked outside.
"She's just upset because she's always wanted you to be her sister-in-law. If I'm being honest, we all wanted you to be our sister-in-law, but I'll be happy with whoever you choose." Lily said, then got up and chased after her older sister.
'So what's the deal with the pair of you?' I asked, teasing the pair.
Kylie blushed and looked away.
"We're now really good friends. Borderline relationship." Kylie replied, and Wilfred nodded.
"I'll be whatever label Kylie wants to put on us, just as long as I'm with her." Wilfred declared, making Kylie blush even more.
I giggled at the pair, then they got up and left, telling me that they need to catch up with me sometime.
Once they left, a carriage pulled up at the front of home, letting out Alvarie, Stella Johnson, Evangeline, and Mama. I thought that was all of the people emerging from the carriage, until two familiar faces hopped out. Vincent and William. I gasped, and ran outside, Norman trailing just behind.
'Mama! Why are they here?' I asked her once I pulled William and Vincent into a hug.
"Your Mother and I have some business to sort out, but for now, how about introducing your older brother to everyone?" William said.
I nodded, then grabbed Vincent's hand and dragged him to the Brown's house.
I knocked on the door, and Evangeline opened it, then let me in. Everyone, including Simon and Steph, were sitting in the living room.
'Everyone, this is my older brother, Vincent.' I signed, and there were a lot of gasps in the room.
"Hi." Vincent said, and awkwardly waved.
Everyone introduced themselves, then Vincent, Norman, and I left again. We walked back over to my house, and asked Mama where Vincent would be sleeping.
"The room across the hall from yours." She answered, then I lead him to his room, and helped him with his bags, Norman doing the same
Once we were finished, we just lounged around, then went downstairs for dinner.
We ate dinner in silence, not the awkward kind, but the comfortable kind. Once we washed up our plates, we went up to my room, and I saw that Norman's bag was still on the ground.
'"Norman, are you staying the night?' I asked the black-haired boy.
He nodded.
"I just want to make sure that you're feeling alright after everything that's happened in the last couple of days." He replied, and I nodded.
"Can I sleep in here?" He questioned, gesturing around my room.
I nodded.
'Sure. I'll pull out the trundle bed.' I replied, and rolled the trundle out from under my bed.
He threw his bag onto the trundle, then dived onto the bed, and sat up.
I sat on the bay window seat, and Vincent sat on the desk. We talked about our lives, and how they could've been if we grew up with each other. I looked at the grandfather clock near my bookcase, and saw that the time was 11 pm. Vincent told us goodnight, and that he was going to sleep.
I got my clothes, and had a shower and brushed my teeth, then brushed my long, (H/C) hair. Norm came out of the bathroom conjoined to my room, and saw that I was braiding my hair.
"Can I braid your hair?" He asked.
I nodded, then handed him the hairbrush, comb, and hair-ties.
He brushed my hair, to make sure to get out any last knots. He parted my hair in the usual way, then tied up one side.
"French braids, mermaid braids, Dutch braids, French fishtails, Dutch fishtails or English braids - plaits?" He questioned me.
I shrugged.
'Surprise me.' I told him, then I felt his hands tangling themselves in my hair, grabbing the sections of hair for whatever hairstyle he was doing.
He finished the side he was doing, then untied the other side, and repeated the process.
"Done." He stated, then grabbed a hand mirror.
He gave one to me, and took me into the bathroom, where I looked into the hand mirror and saw that he had done Dutch fishtails.
"Do you like them?" He questioned.
'These are quite pretty.' I replied.
He blushed, then smiled.
"Remember back when we were in Kindergarten and all of the older girls would braid each other's and the younger girl's hair? Well, I remember you saying that you wanted to get your hair braided, but there was never enough time for you to get your hair braided so I asked Mary Wren to teach me to braid just so I could do your hair in the morning." He said, and I nodded, then smiled.
We went to bed, talking about when we were younger. I fell asleep, dreams of Norman and I when we were young invading my mind.
