One: Life

I love living by myself, but there are always some down sides to it, like cleaning the house all by yourself, paying the bills, and worst one, feeling lonely sometimes. To me it's not much of an issue because Kiana and my other best friend Melodie usually come by.

If you're confused as to why I live by myself, it's because I left. Well, I guess my parents me to as well. I know that sounds really bad.

Mum and dad were too into each other, so they stopped caring about us, me and my older brother. They both went out clubbing all the time, came home drunk, and it was just really messy. My older brother Luka and I were always cleaning up after them, we were taking care of ourselves and even buying our own food.

The only thing they never did was abuse us. They never hit us. They said things to us but they never laid a hand on us.  

After graduating high school I was able to find a job at a café, I worked there for nearly a year, and then I got a job offer to work at my dad's brother's adopted son's business, Blake. He owns the company 'Frecko' which is a really luxurious clothing, handbag, and shoe company. It's quite high end if you ask me. Now, I'm not trying to brag or anything, I'm just telling you what I do.

 Me and my brother decided to leave when we were 19, obviously my parents were fine with it. He lived with his girlfriend while I was able to buy an apartment.  

I guess another reason as to why Blake employed me is because he wants to marry me. Yeah, I know, shocking.

I got a marriage proposal from him about a year ago, I was only 20. I rejected him, obviously. I knew him very well, but I just wasn't up for marrying him. I was surprised he didn't take me off the job. But to be honest, that's mainly because of his father, AKA my uncle. My uncle loves me, a lot more than my father ever did. They didn't have a good relationship anyway, they hardly ever talked.

But I'm 21 now, it's been a year now since I got the marriage proposal and it's really awkward between Blake and I.

So yeah, the job is paying me heaps, and I've been able to live a happy life, by myself, in my own home, I am financially and emotionally stable. Thank God.

As for my brother, he and his wife live together, he's 25. He's a lawyer and his wife's a doctor, rich fam, I know. His wife, Shana is currently pregnant, she's due in about 3 months and I am just so excited.

As for my parents, they live in the same home as ever, I rarely talk to them, only every 2 to 3 months. They're the same as before, but I guess they're doing a little bit better.

Well, that's my life.

I was so tired from the clubbing yesterday that I couldn't even walk properly. I woke up this morning with a hangover and I thought I had work but I realized that I had this whole week off.

Just as I was about to sit on my couch, I got a phone call. I picked up my phone and pressed it to my ear, "Hello?"

"Raelyn!" He yelled in excitement.

"Uncle Tom!" I yelled back with the same enthusiasm.

"How's my favourite girl?"

I sat down on the couch, "I'm good, how are you?"

"Good, good. Now, I need you to come over either today or tomorrow," He started to get serious.

I frowned, "What? Why?"

"I have to talk to you about business."

"Business?" What business? I really hope it's not important. Oh my God, what if I get fired?

"Just, come over, and don't worry, you're not getting fired."

I sighed in relief, "Okay, I'll come over tomorrow."

"Perfect, see you then, love you."

"Alright, love you too, bye."

I am stressed out right now. If he isn't firing me, then what could it possibly be? It's probably really important because he said it's about business.
