Today was the day that I was going to find a wedding dress.

I was just finishing my hair, which was in waves. I wore a white off the shoulder flowy top, it was a little cropped and blue ripped jeans.

For this past week the wedding has just been off my mind and now that I'm shopping for a dress, it just makes me want to back out, but I'm only doing this for family.

My phone started ring and I picked it up, "Hello?"

"Hello Raelyn, it's Tom, just wanted to let you know that Elijah will be coming to pick you up in a bit, okay?" Uncle Tom spoke.

"Are you serious?" I said. I had to be in a car with him? Alone?

"Yes, I hope you're ready."

"Yeah, I am."

"Okay, he should be there soon, I think he'll message you when he's there."

I frowned in confusion, "What? How did he get my number?"

"I think Paul gave it to him." He informed.

How the fuck did Paul get my number?

"I have to go now, have fun dress shopping, love you."

"Okay, love you too, bye."

I waited five minutes and then I got his message.

I'm waiting outside.

I left my apartment and tried to find his car.

Black Rolls Royce? Must be him. I saw his face because he had his window down.

I got in his car, and he greeted me, "Hello Riley," with a smirk.

What the hell? Was he serious?

"It's Raelyn you idiot," I corrected him as I put my seat belt on.

"Oh sorry, my bad," he sarcastically said, "Can you remind me where we're going again?" He said as he started driving.

"JJs Bridal House," I told him.

If I he didn't ask then he was probably going to take me to some forest, and then kill me.

"Princess, if I killed you, then I would be dead too."

Of course I said that out loud.

"Well that sounds lovely," I gave him a fake smile.

"I appreciate your sarcasm. I better get used to it since we're getting married in 2 weeks."

He sounds like he doesn't mind getting married. Did he want to actually get married.

"So you don't mind that you're getting married?" I couldn't help but ask.

"Of course I do. But listen, I'm doing this for family. So when we get married, I'm gonna do my own thing, and you can do yours. I'm not here to fall in love. This is purely for family."

He had the same reasons as me. He was doing it for family just like me.

"And then, when all this is finally over, we can get divorced," he finished off.

I didn't think he would talk about that at this point. But I was afraid to talk to him about it anyway, so at least we got it out of the way.

The rest of the car ride was silent and 15 minutes later we reached the shop.

I thanked him and got out of the car. I went inside the bridal shop, it was just like how I imagined it. Luxurious.

I met with aunty Tricia and Lydia.

"You ready?" Lydia asked and I nodded.

A lady in a button down and a pencil skirt came up to us, "Raelyn Knite?" She asked.

"That's me," I said, excited to try on wedding dresses.

"Great, I'm Kate, I'll be helping you today, why don't you all come with me and I can show you some dresses. Raelyn, what type of dresses are you looking for?"

"I'm not really sure. I just want to try on some different styles and see which one fits me best," I said.

"Perfect."

The first dress I tried on was a mermaid gown. It had a sweetheart neckline.

"This one's nice, but I don't think it's your type," aunty Tricia said and I agreed.

It was really nice and flattering for my body shape but it's just not something I would really want to wear. It's train was also really big.

The next one I tried was a ball gown. It was really puffy but it was stunning. It was mainly lace and had a sweetheart neckline.

"I really like this one," I said. I stood in front of the mirror staring at myself, taking the dress in love, making sure it was perfect, "Can we keep this one on the side?"

The next dress I tried on was also a ball gown, though the train was really long I really liked it. It had spaghetti straps but the only thing was that the back was really low.

"This one's alright, but the back is really. Do you have anything similar to this? But with a smaller train and the back not too low?"

Kate nodded, "Yes, I have the perfect one."

She brought in an A-line dress. It had small details on the gown. It was also off the shoulder and backless, but the back cut was not too low and it also had a chapel train.

I think this one was by far my favourite.

"Oh you look lovely!" Lydia exclaimed.

I let out a breath, "I think this is the one."

Kate brought in an elbow length veil and out on my head.

Wow, I can't believe this is happening. Aunty Tricia walked up to me and out her hands on my shoulders, "You look gorgeous. Are you sure this is the one you want?"

I looked at myself for one more time and I knew this was it. This was the one.

"Yep, this is the one." I nodded.

"Perfect," Kate said, "Do you think it needs any fitting changes?"

"It's a little loose from the chest area, but that's it."

"Okay. We'll measure you, and then you can come back next week for one last fitting."

Up above is picture of her dress <3
