Show me your face.

Perhaps one day.

Why not now?

You are not ready, my love.

Not ready? Then what do I have to do to see your face?

I shall explain it all in due time, Calista.

At least tell me what your name is. What do I call you?

...you may call me Apollo.

Apollo? As in, the Greek god of the sun?

You have a great interest in Greek mythology, do you not, Calista?

I do — I've loved it ever since I was a child. And... deities like Apollo and Helios have always been my favourite.

I know.

But Nyx and Erebus scare me.

You need not fear darkness when you have me by your side.

...I know.

And Calista smiled as warmth pooled in her weary heart. She no longer needed to fear the night because she had the sun by her side.

A / N

Look, I know that Apollo wasn't actually the personification of the sun but...bear with me for now.

Nyx and Erebus are Greek deities associated with nighttime and darkness while Helios and Apollo are both associated with the sun. Considering Calista's fear of darkness and love for light, it's not hard to see why she dislikes the former and prefers the latter.

btw, I hope you remember I said that you should read this with a black background. It just builds the atmosphere.
