Catching up

Logan's pov

The next day at school during English, Bella asked me to help her catch up on the work that she had missed. So I agreed and told her to come over at around five.

Bella's pov

To help me catch up on my work, Logan offered to help me. So I was supposed to be at his house by five.

I stood at the threshold waiting for someone to open the door. Logan opened it and told me to come in. He escorted me to the table in his living room. His parents didn't seem to be around.

We sat down on the chairs, and he explained the novel 'To Kill A Mocking Bird' to me giving me all the notes he had written down.

I stared at his amazing blue eyes, and remembered how I had thought that he was cute. He caught me staring and asked, "What?" "Nothing," I replied. He stopped talking, and we stared into each others eyes for a while. He leaned forward, and almost kissed me when I said, "Look, Logan I can't. Ethan would be-," "Ethan's cheating on you," He cut me off and said.

My head started spinning. I didn't know what to do. My heart dropped and I felt tears in my eyes, "What?" I asked in a half confused and a half sad tone. "The times he disappears randomly. He's always with Joule. I saw them kissing in the janitor's closet the day after prom," Explained Logan. "I'm so sorry," He finished.

"I don't believe you," I said. "I figured you'd say that, so why don't you follow him one day, see where he's going and what he's doing." He asked. "Okay," I said.

So after that, I knew I couldn't concentrate on studies, so I thanked Logan and left.

*the next day*

Bella's pov

The next day during lunch, again we all sat together and ate lunch. "I need to visit the washroom," said Ethan. "No you sit right here!" i said while pulling his hands back next to me.

Ethan looked worried and scared and refused to put his arm around me like he usually did. Then I saw Joule walking towards us, and taking the opportunity I kissed Ethan. I held his neck with a strong grip, and he kissed me back and held my waist. Joule came and stood behind us. "Excuse me!" She yelled from behind us. "Why are you kissing Bella," she asked. Ethan just sat there in shock. "What do you mean, he's my boyfriend," I said casually, and a pained expression came on Ethan's face. "You're boyfriend? He's my boyfriend!" said Joule in a puzzled state. I acted angry and said," Ethan you two timing jerk! we're done!" "Yeah!" said Joule. "So are we," she finished.

I got up with my tray and walked away. Logan was so right! Ethan was a cheat! A jerk! I hated him! I was so glad I had someone like Logan in my life! Wait what? I told myself. I don't like Logan! it was true, he was just a friend. Or was he more?
