"Ashley wake up" he wraps his arms around me and I grunt "c'mon. I'll drag you out of this bed if I have to" I turn around and grunt again. He pulls back the duvet exposing me to the cold. "Jack!" I scream sitting up in bed "I'm going to kill you"
He leans his head to the side and smiles "merry Christmas baby" kissing me softly.
"Merry Christmas, jack" I smile wrapping my arms around him.
He stands up and holds his hand out for me "Come" I take his hand and he leads the way to the living room."gifts or food?" He asks holding out a cup of coffee for me. "Gifts, I can't eat right now" I smile, I've never been able to eat first thing in the morning.
We sit with blankets on the floor in front of the open fire, opening gifts from each other. Something I've never done on a Christmas morning. I've never woken up and done Christmas with a boyfriend before so this is a nice change for my usual mornings. He pulls another present out "This last one is.. its yours" he smiles passing it to me. A gift bag, I pull the sticker away and open the bag, I unwrap the present and open it up.
A ring. A beautiful cushion cut ring with diamonds around the band. It's beautiful. I look up and jacks on one knee looking down on me, I kneel onto my knees too. "Ashley, I know we haven't been together very long and I know it's been a whirlwind of emotions but you've made me happier than I've ever been before" he smiles at me his eyes never leaving mine "will you make me happier and be my wife?" I wrap my arms around him and kiss his face "yes jack! I'll marry you" He tightens his grip around me for a moment and places the ring on my finger "it's perfect jack" I smile "I love it and I love you" I'm beyond happy right now "I love you too"

"Congraluations" my dad says hugging me tightly and shaking jacks hand "I almost thought he'd bottle it" he laughs "you knew?" I ask him suspiciously. He nods his head. "I wanted to ask your dad, it's the correct way" jack smiles.
"It's so beautiful" my mom wipes away a tear from her eye and drags us both in for a hug.
|||| we told you we could hear wedding bells. Guess who's getting married? Jack and Ashley, we wish them all the best.. for now ||||
"Jack will you get the door please?" I shout from the kitchen. "No, I'm busy" he quickly says. I roll my eyes and go to answer it myself. He follows closely behind me and I wonder what he's doing.
Jess and Liam are stood at the door in matching Christmas jumpers singing we wish you a merry Christmas, i laugh at them. They look ridiculous. "Merry Christmas" they both say with cheesy smiles "Congraluations" Jess lunges herself at me and Liam kisses my cheek "welcome to the family, sis" he laughs "good luck with him" he smiles. "I thought you'd want to spend it with them too, plus I couldn't stand the thought of my little brother eating her poor quality of food" he laughs and jess crosses her arms annoyed "if this wasn't the day of your engagement I'd throw eggnog in your face but since it is I'll let it slide, mr Sinclair" she laughs.
We all sit around the dinner table, pulling crackers and telling stupid jokes. This has been the best Christmas ever. Ever.
"I'd just like to say a few words" my dad stands hushing us all. "Today my beautiful daughter got engaged, you might not be mine biologically but you'll always be mine in my heart" he takes a breath and looks looks as if he's fighting back the tears "we had a rocky patch when we first met but that's in the past and you've grown into a wonderful women who anyone would be proud to hold onto for the rest of their life's" he gushes with sheer pride "I just want to congratulate you both once again and wish you both the very best in life.. to Jack and Ashley" he raises a glass and even one follows his lead "jack and Ashley" they smile and clink glasses together.

My mom and dad left, Liam and Jess are asleep on the other sofa and jacks arms are draped around me. "ELF" i squirm in excitement "I love this film" jack stands up and places a blanket over Jess and Liam and pull out another for us "want anything to eat?" He smiles, I shake my head. Holding up my finger "a box of chocolates" I quickly say and he pulls them out for us. "Chocolates for my future wife" he smiles. "It'll be vegetables after the new year, or I won't fit into a wedding dress" I laugh. He shakes his head "I don't care what you look like. I just want to marry you" he cuddles into me once again as e wait for the film to start.
|||| today has been, eventful to say the least, with jack and Ashley's engagement it left her father Lincoln hurt and annoyed, is jack not good enough for his precious girl? But we here think Lincoln isn't all that good for Ashley. Jason and Elsie spotted stumbling down the street singing Christmas carols with a bottle in a paper bag, classy. But little Elsie isn't made from upper class like some. ||||
