"Ah! It feels good to finally stretch my legs again." I say, as I kick one of Serena's arrows out of the air.
"You know there're other, less dangerous, ways of training, that doesn't involve me shooting arrows at you."
"I know, but in order for my skills to match Instincts I need to be able to train my reflexes."
"And knock arrows out of the air is the best way to do that?"
"Not quite." Serena shakes her head, and readies another arrow. "This is." I snap my fingers, and her arrows catches on fire.
"(Y/n) what in the hell! These are ancient arrows. I can't just go buy more."
"Relax, Fairy, that fire won't burn anything. I'm just using it to speed up your shot. I wouldn't actually burn your arrow, I know how important they are to you." Serena smiles, and gets ready to fire. Right as Serena let go of the arrow, I hear Amanda's car pull into the driveway. "Shit!" I catch the arrow, and quickly extinguished the flame. "Serena my room now!" I put out the fires, and jump on to the couch.
Amanda walks into the house, and looks at me. "Why do you look like you did something?"
"Because I always look like this, why do you look pissed off?"
"Captain Holt, bitched me out because I didn't catch Shepherd today."
"Damn I heard he set one of the police cruisers on fire."
"Yeah, and how did you hear about that, the precinct tried to keep that under the radar?"
"I'm in high school. If it happened I know about it."
Amanda smiles. "Where's Serena at?"
"I don't know my room probably." I turn on the T.V., and flip through channels. "You know I never thought of this, but why did a cop let two run aways live with her?"
"Because when you first moved in, I was still a senior in high school, and I couldn't afford rent by myself." Amanda takes off her shirt.
"At first you had my curiosity, but now you have my attention." Amanda throws her shirt at me, and it lands on my face, when I move the shirt. She already has a T-Shirt on.
"You snooze you lose bud. But come to think of it. How did a seventeen and a sixteen year afford half of the rent anyway?"
"Serena works at Gameshop, and I have my ways of making money."
"Good enough for me." Amanda walks into her room, and I let out a sigh. "Hey (y/n)."
"Yeah."
"Why is there an arrow in my room?"
"Oh shit!"
