Chapter 11

Despite not knowing many places that were still open this late into the night, I managed to order a pizza from a shop nearby, hoping that it wouldn't be awkward as we waited.

After all, sitting alone with two kids who had absolutely no filter with a guy you've never really often talked about until now, wasn't exactly the best recipe for a good night.

In the meantime, my brothers decided to take the only other guy in the room to build a fort right in the living room, dragging their blankets down from their respective rooms and pulling chairs from the kitchen table for stability. It was fun while it lasted, but the result led to 3 passed out kids.

Don't get me wrong, I don't know myself how the flying fuck Grayson Christensen ended up landing a spot on my living room floor. I winced at the uncomfortable position he slept at, knowing he was probably going to wake with a crook in his neck, I still couldn't bother to care much. It was his fault no one else's.

Not watching to touch him was the main issue. The idea of him waking up and us being put in an awkward situation wasn't the idea right now when I could barely comprehend what was happening.

Yet one thing couldn't help weighing on my mind as I watched over my brothers who were sprawled next to Grayson in the fort: Why the hell was my dumbass stupid enough to get in a car with him, a stranger, and potentially put my brothers in danger with someone who seemed like nothing more than a walking one night stand and had no relation to me except for the fact that we attended the same elementary, middle, and high school?

"That'll be $10.73." The pizza guy said, looking tired and done with his shift.

Hell, I would be too if I was sent out in the middle of the night to go deliver pizza to people who couldn't bother to get it themselves.

"Here's 15," I smiled, handing him the ten-dollar bill along with a five, "You can keep the change."

He smiled weakly and exchanged the money for the pizza and left before waving, "Thanks."

"I SMELLLL PIZZAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" Lincoln, who I assumed had woken up,
screamed.

"Link, quiet down." I reprimanded him, "Brad and Grayson are sleeping."

He lowered his voice and apologized, his mood brightening after I told him it was fine and ruffled his hair before showing him a glance at the pizza.

His face lit up and I chuckled before opening the box and handing him a slice, "Thank you!"

When I was younger and forced to watch over them, I often feared my Mother coming home and finding out that her two sons were up this late eating 'unhealthy rubbish' but soon; she stopped coming home and I learned to rebel a little.

Instead of waking Bradley up, I couldn't help but feel bad that he was on the uncomfortable hardwood and headed to pick him up. He made himself comfortable grasping Grayson's shirt and sprawled himself on top of him.

I chuckled and the sight and picked him up after releasing his hands that had grabbed fistfuls of Grayson's shirt. Christensen stirred before looking up with sleep written in his grey eyes.

"Pizza?" He mumbled, turning to his side to look me straight on.

"Yea, I'm putting Brad to bed first." I replied, "You can just make yourself comfortable." He nodded and drifted off once more.

Studying his relaxed complexion, I realized how prominent his features stood out. Like many had known by now, his sharp jawline was undeniably attractive. After seeing them up close, I could easily see how those eyes could enrapture girls and leave them hanging on a thread. His eyelashes were longer than mine. I couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy, guys always had the best lashes.
