Chapter 10

Skylar POV

 Diet.Diet.Diet. This has always been on my mind since Hollie said that I am a thick boned person. The major thing is that I didn’t win American idol even just a runner-up. Early predictions of top 2 were Colton and I. Some said I was like Lauren Alaina but the truth, I want to make my own image. However, in the middle of my journey, I got this chance to have this duet with Colton which changed me. At first I thought this team-up could bring me more followers and gain a little bit higher than my co-singers but I was so wrong. But, Colton, he’s the last one that should be right.

Jessica POV

Another glimpse from Phil and I. Another moment that interrupted by this strange call. It has been always like that. Interruption sucks! “Hello?Wait, I can’t here you,” I decided to leave the table cause of too much noise from Idols. “Jess, you gotta get ready. Jimmy’s orders. I’ll meet you up in the airport. Love you baby,” explained mom. She has always been there for me. She’s not a stage mother but as a responsible parent, she assures that every single of my blooming career shall include her will. I answered, “Love you too,” and hang up the phone looking forward for my last farewell to my second family, the American Idol family. “So this is it Guys. Mom is waiting in the airfield so goodbye,”I said while I felt tears falling from my eyes. Then, all of the girls seem to cry and says, “Uh, Jessica, gonna miss you girl.” “But wait, before my skinny budy leave us, I just wanna give her, this,” Colton said while he pulls out from his pocket a beautiful necklace with a note pendant. This shocked me and guess surprised everyone. I knew he likes me but desperately? That was something I never knew about Colton Dixon. As he places the necklace, Colton said, “Well, it’s my gift to you. This will always make you remember that we’ll be singing a duet sooner. And, most of all, I hope I’ll be the only guy to court you. I loved you so much Jay,” with restrictions in his words as he assures that he’s mine and I’ll be his with no doubts. “Thank you buddy. I’m gonna miss you, “hugged him as I stare at Phil’s reaction. Well, he’s kind-a smiling somehow. I think he’s happy. Maybe this is a sign. It is a sign that he forgot that thing happened to us. “He is a great typical ordinary guy who loves her girlfriend so much,” thought to me seeing him very glad and giving me a thumbs-up.  I realized that everything is fine. It is under control.

Phillip POV

She’s leaving and this has supposed to happen. Maybe this is a good sign that we parted. Surely, before Idol tour begins, she’ll forget me and forget everything happened. This is goodbye. “Bye guys. Bye,” I knew she looked at me but I refuse to give it back to her. I look again to her as she slowly walks out of the Idol house. I know she’s weeping but I don’t wanna care. I need to forget her and start all over again. I decided to go in the Idol garden to feel the wind, hear the bird’s sing and try to fill the emptiness from losing Jessica. Again, Jessica!Jessica! Stop this man!She’s not yours and will never ever be. Then I remembered her again and how my feelings for her change. It was that day that I started to treat her more than a friend and sister.  ~flashback~ I am practicing my song since Jimmy is comin’ and should I say that he might kill us if we don’t get our songs well. Strumming this guitar all over and singing in this song again and again. I felt boring and so I tried to rest for a while. I put my guitar in that big red couch and closed my eyes. I am trying to relax till someone disturbed and try to play around with me, I guess.

“Hey, Phil. Good luck bout your song,” joked Jessica who seems to be very eager to ruin my performance to Jimmy. She likes me, getting in trouble as long as she laughs all the time which kind-a weird and embarrassing.However, I found out that my guitar seems lost or should I say hid by this wit. “C’mon, Jess. Where is it?” asking her like she’s a baby. “What? Freak!Your weapon? Somewhere lost and you’ll never ever find it!” said Jessica as she ran across the Idol room like a kid. So, we both ran like I’m the ‘it’ trying to catch her. I never thought it was something sarcastic cause even we are old enough, we still need the time to have fun. “Wait. Stop,” I felt something is aching somewhere in the lower part.  “Phil, you’ll never trick me!I know you!Stop acting!” “Uh, uh..” “Phil?Phillip?I’m so sorry. I’m gonna call them,” sincerely said and she decided to ask help but I pulled her left hand to stop her cause I am just playing around. However, we both fall in the floor. She was on top of my chest as she looks at my face. This was the first time to see her like never been before. Her magical eyes, luscious lips, alluring face unlike any other face in the world can’t stop me looking at her. I can’t stand not because she was above me but this sarcastic moment rest me to stay here with her in this sweetest moment. “Will you wait for the microphones there or roll over and over until the show is over?” a voice that I heard which tells us to get up and stop this weird thing! ~End of flashback~
