"How long you been woke" i said, walking into the living room, seeing Lani on the couch.
"I been up for like 2 hours" she said, as i leaned in kissing her forehead.
"What you doing some homework or something?" i asked, since she was on her laptop.

She chuckled, "No, i'm shopping"
"Always, you ain't cook no breakfast?"
"I tried to wake you up, and see if you wanted something, but you was knocked out.. I didn't know when you were gonna wake up... I can make you something real quick tho" she said, about to close her laptop.
"Nah, you good... I can eat cereal. What you eat ?"
"Some fruit and toast" she said.
"Thats it, fuck you a bird now?" i asked laughing.
"Shut up, noo i just wasn't that hungry this morning.. I just needed something to take my vitamins with"
"You starving my daughter, and i ain't feeling it"
"Boy, she is not starving or else, i'd be trynna eat everything" she said, rubbing her stomach. "Did you check your phone? It was ringing off the hook" she asked.
"Nah, i ain't even look for it.. why you ain't answer it?" i said, walking into the kitchen to make my bowl of cereal.
I grabbed the cinnamon toast crunch and the milk, pour them both into a bowl before walking back into the living room. "Why would you ask a question then walk away?" Lani asked me, shaking her head.
"I was hungry, my fault" i said, stuffing a spoonful of cereal in my mouth.
"Chy's gonna come drop my phone off in a few minutes" she said, scrolling on a baby's clothing website.
"I don't know how you left your phone there last night."
"Maybe cause i was half asleep when you called, saying you were five minutes away"
"Trueee, i be right back" i said sitting my bowl of cereal down on the table before jogging up the stairs to grab my phone. Once i got the room, i found my phone wrapped up in the sheets and grabbed it, going back down the stairs.
