Solace

At this point in time, I was just so confused. I didn't know what to do next nor what to think. He just pressed his knuckles and glanced at the unconscious body on the tiled floor.

"What just happened?" I asked myself.

"You almost got molested by that guy on the floor." Alvin replied.

"And you, where did you come from? How did you know I was in trouble?" I asked.

"I was just passing by with a friend and I noticed something unusual. I heard voices so I decided to check out what was happening. Luckily for you, I was just on time before he could do anything stupid." He grimaced at the unconscious Vance.

"Oh My Goodness, I can't believe it."

"Believe it or not, I just kinda saved your life." He admitted.

Without another word from any of us, Alvin held out his hand for us to leave. I followed his lead and we finally got back into the club. I told the girls that I was leaving before I finally got out of the building.

"Solace, wait!" I heard Alvin call out to me as I was walking home.

I turned around and found him running up to me.

"What is it Alvin?" I asked.

"So after I saved your life, you couldn't even say a simple thank you?" He asked.
He made me feel guilty and awkward because I wasn't my actual self at the moment.

I was still in shock for crying out loud.

"I'm sorry. Thanks for the help." I said before turning around and walking faster.

Upon finally reaching home, I got tired from walking a long distance in these wedges, so I took them off. I reached home precisely at 10pm. I laid down on my bed and tried to comprehend all the events of the day. Soon I fell into a deep sleep.
