Raritys pov:

After the events at the start of practice everyone was running a bit late as the interuption had knocked some time off of tuning and setting up there instruments. It took some time but i was now getting seated with starlight, twilight and fluttershy while the others got ready to play. Rainbow asked if we were all ready and told us this was a special practice before we all went back to college. After we had all told her that we was ready the band started to perform. They had all been working on new songs so none of us had heard any of them yet.

"The first song today is called freak like me"

We were all a bit confused at first but decided not to question it as we listened to them run through the new songs. I wasnt sure how I felt about this first new song expecially the lyrics.

I could tell fluttershy wasnt too keen on the lyrics of this first bit so I grabbed her hands to support her, I dreaded to think what ajs bit would be.

As we were all watching the band there was one thing we was sure of... there usual inspiration had changed. It was no longer us inspiring them to write there songs. In fact it sounded like none of them had even written them thereselves, we decided to all stay quiet and just enjoy our other halfs singing. I wanted to know if aj would make this song better.

Checkin out her ass, no, she dont need a hall pass. I think she knows but she dont care, I almost crashed my car just starin at her the butterflies in my stomach are starting to hurt.

After I had heard applejacks bit I instantly hated the song, I had no idea what had happened  to the band but this was not what they usally sang, And I couldnt help but feel a little bit insulted that she would sing it. I could only imagine how fluttershy was feeling about it, so far twilight and starlights otherhalves hadent had a verse just a chorus but I dreaded to think what it would be. Just as i though that pinkie started to sing.

After sunsets verse the song finished and the band decided to take a break. When applejack came over to me I was kinda pissed at her, I knew it was just a song but it still made all us girls who were watching feel uncomftable that our otherhalves were singing about other girls. "Hey sugarcube what did you think?" I didnt know how exactly to answer her question so I decided to just be blunt "I didnt like it" She looked kind of hurt that I didnt like it "Why?" was all she asked me, I decided to explain how it made us girls feel "Well it wasnt you I didnt like darling, It was the lyrics, Your usual inspiration is.. well... me... just like rainbow dashes is usally fluttershys and the other twos are there girlfriends" Her expression changed to a smile "We didnt write the new songs babe, someone else writes them for us now we just perform them" I was suprised to hear that but decided to enqire about who wrote them. "So who writes them?" She looked uncomftable with the question "ehrmm... well... I pay rara to write mine sometimes... Rainbow dash pays spitfire to write hers... pinkie pays cheese sandwich to write hers and sunset still writes her own" I was so angry at what I had just heard, but I tried to remain calm "Well... who wrote this one?" she was still feeling uncomftable and I knew it but now I knew I was Intriqued "Well.... spitfire wrote this one..." I was about to speak before rainbow called her over. "hey aj your song now" After I heard rainbow say that, I smiled lightly as I thought to myself... This is going to be intresting.
