Chapter One

The sun just made its way through the horizon and light was just starting to leak through my window of the morning rays. Like any other student, getting up for school Monday was a hassle.

I groggily slide out of my comfy king sized bed wishing I could at least stay in its cozy quarters a minute more.

I begin my usual morning routine. A normal teenage girl would probably head straight to the bathroom, no ifs, thens, or buts.

I am the attenuate for all teen girls across the country.

I head straight for my walk in closet.

I would never come out of the shower clueless. I need to be fully aware of my outfit before I do my hair and the little make up I apply. Its just one more thing to be checked off the list of things to do before I get to school.

I strode right in where all my precious shoes, designer bags, necklaces and bracelets scattered about in my many jewelry boxes greet me on the right side. On my left a large collection of jeans, skirts, shorts and leather align me.

I grab something a little more fancy since I wore jeans friday. Once my wardrobe is all set, I head for my bathroom.

Once I am out of the shower I sigh as an overwhelming feeling of tiredness takes place. Everything I did Sunday night comes crashing down on me Monday morning. Whether it would be a good study session, partying with my friends or my own little marathon of Pretty Little Liars.

I make my way around the house till I'm tumbling down the stairs. I was surprised to find my Mom awake this early. She was sitting casually at the breakfast table, yet to notice my entrance.

My Moms position as a radiologist, has a tight schedule. Especially being one of the few radiologist at Lenfields children's hospital in the Springs. My Mom usually has Sundays and Saturdays off, but she was on call. She had to go to Lenfields, whenever they needed her then.

"Hey sweetie. Nice sleep?" My Mom greeted. "Hey." I said casually and kissed her on the cheek. Me and my Mom have always been close.

" I was up late watching tv." I explained feeling a little ashamed. I really need to stop doing that. Especially with mid-terms coming up.

"Make yourself some coffee." My mom suggested. I am not an addict to the stuff, but I wouldn't hold off on a nice cup of coffee if I needed it.

As I turned the coffee maker on, Mom reminded me that I'm going on a business trip to Detroit with my Dad this weekend. I've never been to Michigan, and my parents are divorced so I am happy to spend some quality time with him.

Realizing I wasn't going to finish my cup before Kelsey arrives, I pack up my backpack before returning to the kitchen.

I am surprised to see my mom has poured all my coffee in a mug for me.

I mentally thank her since she isn't in the kitchen. I dash out the front door after hearing the first honk.

I jumped into Kelsey's new jeep. She begged her parents for months for this car. Kelsey said she absolutely, positively, needed a car before senior year.

"Someones looking fancy today." Kelsey cooed. I was wearing a floral skater skirt from Charlotte Russe, a white crop top from Windsor and my blue sandals. I dress up occasionally each week just to put a twist to the crazy roller coaster we call school.
