The day my father chose the head night was the best and worst day of my life little did I know I was going to the loose the man of my life that day. "All knights gather around today I will announce who the head of knights will be and my personal knight to protect the royal family in our troubles." Salem's face brightens up waiting to hear the kings response he knew deep down he was going to get the honor of being head knight everybody knew, they all thought he was going to be head knight as his age because he worked harder than anyone else, " alright then the answer you've all been waiting for is here! the head knight will be Xavier" everybody stares at the king in shock, Xavier more than anyone but must especially Salem, something awoke inside him, something dark and something evil. "Salem I did't know this was.." Salem turns and faces Xavier "it's alright you are stronger than me after all and you get to protect the princess with that honor as well, Congrats man let celebrate together just you and me." Xavier smiles at him " alright then just you and me." then the king speaks again " congratulations my boy! you have earned this honor for caring for your comrades and caring for my youngest daughter princess destiny you may all be dismissed now Xavier get your rest now, your day as head knight starts tomorrow." My little legs try running towards Xavier as I see him I make a big jump and hug him. "congratulations Xavier you earned it!" Xavier hold me and smiles "thank you your majesty" today was finally the day, last night I promised myself if Xavier becomes head Knight i'm going to confess my love for him, and today I will. "u..um.. Xavier I need to tell you something" I look down and play with my fingers, "yes your majesty" he gives me a smile, " I.. uh... I'm in love with you!" I shouted it out loud I got supper embarrassed and covered my face, Xavier has a surprised face and then smiles and takes my hands out of his face, "tell you what, once your a little older how about we get married?" I nod quickly "but you can't have any other girls but me got it!" I want to keep Xavier all to myself I know its selfish but I love him. "alright then, you are now my fiancee my little princess" I blush, then I notice his necklace around his neck, "what is that?" then Xavier looks down and pulled out a necklace a miniature sword made out of silver and a blue gem in the middle "oh this? This was a necklace my father gave me before.... he died" I saw Xavier's simile fade away, I put my hands on his and give him a smile "it's ok I bet your father loved you lots if he gave you such a beautiful necklace" then his smile came back. " you always know how to cheer me up Destiny" he takes off his necklace and puts it around my neck, "I want you to take good care of it ok" I smile and nod my head he then takes my hand and takes me to my room, "sleep tight your majesty he gives me one last hug and a big smile" I get into bed and go to sleep. A few hours have past and I hear some yelling outside my window, I go open it, my eyes bearly holding up I see Salem and Xavier. "I hate you and I will always hate you Xavier! I should have been the one who was head knight not YOU!" Salem pulls out a sword "please don't do this Salem I will give you the honor of head knight just put the sword down!" Salem's eyes turned to hatred, then he swings the sword and hits Xavier in the stomach the. Xavier backs up a bit "w..w...what have you done..." Xavier falls to the ground and lays there motionless " x..x.. Xavier" I cry in pain seeing the one I love die, then Salem spots me and his eyes filled blood lust.
