Hey guys, Astrya and Axel are here with me to talk about my plans for them. I've noticed that books hardly get read on Wattpad, Mermaid, and Siren. There are a couple of clubs where fanatics go to read them and share their stories on the site, but it's rare for even them to get a lot of reads.
It makes me sad. It disappoints me and makes me believe that my children deserve better than 40 reads. Especially since the worst book I've ever written on this app has 149k reads. Even so, I'm proud of that horrible book I wrote when I was fourteen, and I don't plan on taking it down. But I didn't post this story here for readers; I posted it here because I love it. And then I got to thinking, I'm almost eighteen, and the only thing I ever really thought about doing seriously is to become an author. I'm not precisely cut out for it the way I write things now, so I'm training and working hard to improve my writing abilities. I'm going to need help from more authors on Wattpad than usual. I will continue getting inspiration from anime and the books I read on this site. But for now, I will finish writing this story... as a manuscript. I want their story published to the world. I want to sell them to millions and help people realize that mermaids and sirens are fantastic!
Folklore about these creatures has been spread around for years, and it's because the ocean is undiscovered. Humans are too busy looking up at the sky and trying to figure everything out about outer space to completely forget that the Earth is a mystery, too. When people sail on the sea, mysteries do pop up. I want to inspire people to study down there.
I'm going to be working my butt off to get this book published. I might post a couple more chapters on her while doing so, but I won't finish the whole thing. The 40 or so people who have read this, thank you. I hope you like it.
See you, guys!
UPDATE: SUCCESS!!! I had a vision, and years after I took this story off of Wattpad, I've finally been able to publish the completed version of my story. Although it's very... and I mean vastly different from the original work. The main characters are similar yet also completely different and although the plotline still has the same shape, the themes and and message have shifted. I'm happy to announce that it's available to be bought, and I hope you all will look forward to rediscovering the world of Magic of Pacifica in its new form— The Tale of Astrya.
