Chapter 7

(Kate)

I just kept laughing until I ran out of air when Maybelen was punching in the face. It was finally night. I was so tired that my eyelids we're drooping. I climb to the highest branch of a tree and fall asleep.

(Maybelen)

I will never sleep until everyone, everyone is dead! I will help Ms. Dark kill these ugly, horrible, terrible people. I sit at the stump of Kate's tree and wait for everyone else to fall asleep.

(Mia)

This will be the first time without Chloe to talk to before I go to bed. About homework, or who we like. I hope we can make it to Daniel's' house by noon of tomorrow. If not I might have a mental break down. I just hope I won't have too.

(Daniel)

I just need two more ingredients for my potion then it will be complete. I need the dragon's scale and a strand of hair from the person you love. Sounds reasonable enough. I sneak over to Treseze. I pluck one of her hairs while she is asleep. She started to wake up so I sprinted towards Mia. I ask her for a scale from her and she sighs and hands me one off of her arm. I thank her and drop both the hair and the scale and swish the liquid around in the vial. Suddenly Treseze walks up to me and asks me something.

"What did you say?" I ask looking into her beautiful red eyes.

"What are you making?" She responds.

"A potion, I don't know for whom though yet." I lie.

"I can test it after all I am a vampire. It won't kill me." Treseze says seriously.

"Go for it." I say and hand her the vial.

(Treseze)

I drink the pink-ish bubbly concoction. It tastes sweet. Suddenly my vision gets fuzzy on the edges.

"Daniel? What's happening to me?" I say as I fall towards the ground. Daniel's arms encircle my waist.

"Nothing, my dear. That just means the love potion is working." Daniel cooes in my ear.

"Wait...what?! You didn't tell me it was a LOVE POTION!" I yell.

"Don't yell." Daniel whispers and smothers my mouth with his hand. I gasp and my fangs elongate as I bite his palm. His blood floods my mouth, it tastes a little sour but with a hint of sweet mixed in. Daniel withdraws his hand and shakes it furiously.

"Damn! That hurt. Why did you bite me?" Daniel whines.

"So you'll take that filthy hand away from my clean face and mouth." I growl.

"Love. Please don't make me kill you." Daniel whispers on the top of my head. I roll my eyes and heal his bite.

"Um...why do you like me?" I ask looking up at Daniel. Suddenly my eyelids start to droop. I close my eyes and fall into darkness.
