Alec's POV

It's the first of December and Magnus is dragging me Christmas shopping even though he knows that as a shadowhunter we don't really celebrate Christmas.

"Mags you know i don't celebrate christmas so why are we going shopping" i complain as magnus drags me to his new mundane car which to be honest looks really cool.

"I know you don't celebrate christmas which is why we are doing this because it is going to be your best and fist christmas ever so stop complaining and get in the damn car"

I grumble under my breath but get in the car after receiving a harsh glare from magnus.

(Magnus's car)

========At the mall=======

"Ok Alexander all we have to do is get the perfect tree decorations and other knickknacks as well as a ton of led lights, food, snacks and all the other things we need then we will split up and get presents"

"Fine lets get this over with" even though i act like i don't care i am really exited to celebrate this mundane holiday with magnus.

After a few hours we finally get the 'perfect' tree according to magnus all our decorations and all the presents we needed to get.

When we get back to the loft its late in the afternoon but mags still wants to decorate the tree so we start on it.

========The next day======

We were finally able to finish the tree and today we are going to decorate the rest of the house.

After 14 painful hours of decorating we are finally done with all of our decorating.

============Christmas day========

Its finally christmas and all our closest family and friends are coming over to celebrate. After we had dinner and opened presents everyone went home and it was time to give magnus his other present.

"hey mags?"

"yeah"

"I have another present for you wait here" I run up to our room and get the ring box that has the ring i got for him.

I looked at his face and he looked really shocked.
"Don't worry I am not proposing it is just a promise ring and it means that someday I will put a ring on your finger and will get married and have our own happy ever after"
After my speech he had tears in his eyes.
"Go ahead open it"
When he did he took out the ring and just stared at it taking in all it's beauty while I took a in all my boyfriends glory.

"Oh my god thank you so much it means a lot to me and even though I have lived many many years and met many people as well dating my fair share of people you are the first person that I have ever truly loved and the first to ever do something like this for me so thank you for loving me and making this the best Christmas ever as well as making me the happiest man alive"
At the end of his speech we both had tears in our eyes.
I closed the distance between us and locked out lips in an amazing and breathtaking kiss.
"I love you mags, merry Christmas "
"I love you too baby and I hope you enjoyed your first Christmas"
"I loved Christmas because I got to celebrate it with you and I look forward to celebrating every other Christmas in my life with you"
"I truly love you Alexander"
"As do I"
We spent the rest of the night cuddling and watching TV before we fell asleep on the couch in each others arms and smiles on our faces.

I don't like the beginning but I love the ending but I hope you enjoyed reading this chapter.
I know I was gone a while but I was one holiday and didn't have time to write anything. So you might get another chapter today or tomorrow.
