The Mission

The team is those added up to Zatanna (Robin, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Superboy, Aqualad, Artemis, and Zatanna). Only Wally knows of Robins identity/backstory.

Batman 01

The team rushed to the Dark Knight anxious for a distraction. It had been days since the last mission and hoped for a new one.

Batman held up a hand to stop Kid Mouth as the teens approached, "Yes it's a mission. There have been some questionable energy readings coming from an abandoned fairground in Gotham." He pulled up a screen with sensor readings from the area, "Your job is to identify what is causing this and reporting back." 

The team didn't complain and immediately went to gather supplies. Batman pulled Robin aside, "Do you want to go with them? I know that that place can bring back memories and if-"

"I'll be fine Bats. It's just like any other visit, but with some detective work," Robin said with a reassuring smile on his face before leaving to gather his supplies. He turned around for a split second with a mischievous smirk, "But if you want to make me feel better than I could use extra of Agent A's cookies tonight." Batman chuckled silently at his wards antics before walking to the zeta tubes to ask Alfred to make extra cookies tonight.

The fairgrounds were a wasteland when the team landed. It hadn't been used in years, except for when Haley's circus came every few years (even if just to visit their young acrobat) since Bruce Wayne had bought the land and Robin came by regularly to keep it clear of Gotham's crime-ridden streak. 

They walked around and found nothing out of the ordinary and were about to give up when a red spiral like portal appeared in the centre of the ring. Wally, who knew of Robin's backstory, had noticed how the Boy Wonder had avoided the centre of the ring but hadn't said anything. He slowly walked towards it. 

"Kid Flash, I wouldn't get to close. I'm getting a strong magical force from that portal," Zatanna warned and the team stepped back. 

Robin then stepped towards the red swirls as if in a trance. Wally instantly moved to grab the young acrobat and pull him back. "Da drumul. Am nevoie pentru a le vedea," (Let go. I need to see them,)He mumbled, struggling to move forward. 

"Nu pic de păsări. Ei nu sunt acolo(You can't little bird. They're not there)," Wally responded as the team stood shocked at the two boys fluent use of the new language. "Nu este le Robin au murit. Amintiţi-vă?(It's not them Robin they died. Remember?)"

Dicks' face fell a the mention of his parents' death, "Minciuni! Ei nu ar lasa-ma!(Lies! They would never leave me!)" He exclaimed before breaking free and disappearing. Wally immediately followed before the team recovered and followed suit, unsure of how else to get their bird back. Aqualad, being the responsible leader, first left a distress signal and recording of the situation behind before jumping in.
