"Blair!" No no no no. Please let her go away. "Blair Emerson get your ass out of there right now or I am going to call the police!" I rolled my eyes and groaned at how persistent Tessa was. To clear things up a bit, I'm in my room. Tessa came by to pick me up for the wedding but I was scared of coming out of this room wearing the dress.
She knocked on the door again, louder this time, and started threatening me. I paced in my room, not wanting to face her anger but Reece was getting annoyed at me. She just came home from wherever she was and the fact that her face was all scrunched up with no make up on meant that she was NOT in a good mood.
"God Blair just get out of this room!" She hissed at me, trying to drown out Tessa's impatient wails with a pillow.
It was a Saturday and when it's a Saturday people want to sleep in. Too bad for me I had to get out of this room at nine o'clock. I gave Reece a worried glance but she just flipped me off with her trusty middle finger. I may have forgotten that she has PMS. With a groan, I slowly went over to my bed and grabbed my purse before leaving my safe haven.
I yanked the door open only to see Tessa glaring at me. I cringed inwardly but shook it off knowing that it won't matter. I shuffled uneasily and closed the door, fully aware of Tessa throwing daggers at me. The halls were quiet and it was probably because it was Saturday and most of the people would love to sleep in.
"Uh, hi?"
"Hi my ass. We're ten minutes late!" She snapped and pulled me out of the doorway. I barely had time to even lock it. I stumbled over my feet and followed Tessa down the hallway. Her hair was tied up neatly in a bun and her face showed few traces of make up. Just a hint of peach and brown here and there. I only applied lip gloss and some mascara. I wasn't the type to put heavy make up. That was Reece. Catherine told me about the "bad" effects make up will give me so I stayed away from it. Most of the time.
I held my purse tightly. It held my phone, money and some essentials. We went inside the elevator and stared at our reflection. Her lime green dress flattered her body shape immensely and I...well I looked a little plain. It was a natural talent for me to look plain even in the most gorgeous clothes. Does this run in my family or something?
"So um...where are we going exactly?" I started as she ushered me into her car. She narrowed her eyes at me before going to the other side to start the engine.
"Church."
"Oh."
I kept my mouth shut afterwards since Tessa had this look on her face that really scared me also I had no idea what to talk about. I watched as we left the campus and the familiar school buildings were soon replaced by normal looking houses with neatly trimmed lawns. We arrived at the Church 10 minutes later. The exterior was.....beautiful but I think that word was still an understatement.
It reminded me of those Churches in The Vatican where in they looked old and at the same time fresh. There were intricate carvings on the stone as well as some statues. Angels and demons were practically all over the place! I guess I knew the reason why Aunt Marie chose this exact church. She loved statues and art in general. This looks like some scene from Rome.
I stood there gawking at the amazing structure for quite a while until Tessa dragged me inside the building with her heels clicking behind her. She grumbled about tardiness and I just had to look down on the floor to focus on not tripping over my own feet.
"Can you slow down?" Tessa rolled her eyes and pulled me even more. She dropped off my shoes yesterday at my door and I'm still trying to adjust. Wearing heels ain't my forte. I was trying NOT to stumble and look like a drunken person but it wasn't helping when your friend is dragging you all the way to the front where in the pews were half full.
