Chapter 4: Opposites Attract

"I change my mind. I don't wanna do this anymore."

"Come on, Clemont. Don't backed out now."

"I can't do it."

"Yes you can."

"Korrina..."

"You made it this far. Don't give up now."

"But what if I mess up?"

"That's why you have me for guidance."

"This is so embarrassing."

"You can do this, Clemont," Korrina says with one of her hand grabs his chin. "I believe in you. Now show everyone what you're made of." Korrina pushes Clemont from behind until his entire body falls forward and the wheels on his skateboard make contact with the transition. "Alright! You're skateboarding, Clemont!"

But the celebration is short lifted when Clemont reaches for the other side of the half pipe. More weight is added to the left side of his body, which causes Clemont to fall off his skateboard and land head first on the other side of the half pipe's transition.

"That doesn't look good," Korrina comments. The entire skate park erupts with laughter. The blonde male finds himself surrounded by other skateboarders pointing their fingers at him as they laugh at his humiliation. Some even have their phones out to take pictures. "Alright that's enough," Korrina screams at the skateboarders as she rushes over to Clemont's side.

Lucky for the amateur, the crowd disbursed from around him. Now it is just him and Korrina. "That was not fun," he complains.

"You almost had it, Clemont," Korrina compliments. "Don't feel too bad."

"I have enough skateboarding for one day. Can we please do something else?"

"Sure. What do you have in mind?" Before Clemont can answer, his stomach saves him the trouble. He responds with an awkward giggle while a few blush marks appear on his face. "Perhaps lunch?"

"So good," Korrina comments. She takes another bite off her turkey and cheese sub sandwich and savors the huge piece in her mouth. "The food here tickles my taste buds every time."

"Better than my cooking?" Clemont asks. Even though he is just joking around.

"And what if it is? You gonna have a problem with that?" Laughter fill their table as the couple is having a good time. This date is going a lot well than Clemont expected. When he asked Korrina out, the first thing that came in his mind this day was going to be a train wreck. But after an entire day with the Shalour City gym leader, the male realizes the real mistake was not having much confidence in himself. "You know, this day was really fun," his female date comments. "But I have a question I want to ask you."

"Fire away?"

"What makes you decided to ask me out all of a sudden?"

Clemont swallows the spaghetti that was in his mouth before he can answer. "To be honest, I was asking myself the same question."

"Well, that's strange. Usually guys have an answer before they asked a girl out on a date. But you're clearly not most guys."

"Is that why you agreed to go out with me?"
