Hey wassup hello ;)
Have you ever heard of a place that serves terrible food, is filled with terrible people, and those terrible people are told what to do by even more terrible people?
Well, if you thought I was talking about prison, you are very wrong. I was actually describing school!
You guys I'm not even in high school yet, and school already makes me wanna take a long walk off a short pier. This year, it has gotten even worse. (if that's even possible.) Two teachers in particular make me wanna scream until China can hear me or my head just flies off my shoulders.
Welcome to Algebra 1 and Science!
My Algebra 1 teacher takes the very intricate and amazing subject of math and turns it into a boring, repeating class that is very hard not to fall asleep in. Call me a nerd, but math is one of my favorite subjects, so imagine my disappointment when this class turned out to be the boringest. The teacher literally speaks in a monotone voice the whole hour and me and my lack of sleep can't handle it.
One week, I missed two days of her class in a row and when I came back I felt like I was learning a foreign language. So, being the studious person I am, I went home and watched YouTube videos and read websites until I figured it out. The sad part is, that test was the best grade I've made in that class all year. So, if the student can teach themselves better than the teacher, what does that say?
Ya'll, science is literally the exact same way. The teacher assigns us stupid projects and just hands us notes and expects us to automatically understand plate tectonics and how they freaking effect the rock cycle and natural landforms. Like, you are paid to teach me so, that's what you need to do. If a teacher just hands you notes, they expect you to teach yourself, so therefore shouldn't you be the one getting paid and not them?
Hmmmm...
Okay ya'll rant over. It's Christmas break for me and this pretty much describes how my whole first semester went..
