"— it's not a big deal," lux groans as the wind whistles around her face, her hair flapping around dark brown eyes.

"It's outer space. That's a huge deal!" Jasmine says, sending the older girl into another fit of laughs.

"I just get to take flora samples. It's not exactly what I want to be doing in space," the older girl replies, pushing down in the gas as the jeep zooms down the desert road. replying a bit more seriously, she tilts her head a little. "What time are you supposed to be home? Isn't it a school night?"

"No," Jasmine replied quickly. "I don't have classes tomorrow."

"Yeah, okay," Lux replies a little sarcastically as she leans back into the seat. She opens her mouth to make a sardonic comment when the phone embedded in her jeep rings and Jasmine pressed the button to answer it. Lux raises her knees to hold the steering wheel as she scratches her nose for two seconds before both hands return to the wheel.

"Hello?" She asks, before she heard the heavy breathing and shouting. "Lance?"

"Shh, guys! Shut up! She did answer, thank you very much!" Lance says something incomprehensible and Lux rolls her eyes. "We need your help with something. You won't believe this."

"Where are you? Isn't it past curfew?" She slams slightly on the breaks, before making a U-turn back to the facility.

"You know that huge hill above the medical facility? We're up there."

"Why?" Lux asks, rolling her eyes.

"Just get here! We need your science expertise."

Lux gives an exasperated grumble as she puts the truck into a different gear before she pressed down on the gas. "I'm on my way. Don't do anything stupid."

She hangs up the phone before looking at Jasmine. "I guess you do get to go on a field trip."

"Lucky me," Jaz replies, looking ahead at the road.

By the time Lux has found Lance and the others on the top of the hill, she frowns a little as she parks her car. She and Jasmine climb out the vehicle as Lux pulls on her white leather jacket, fixing the holster and blaster on her upper thigh. Jasmine trails behind her and Lance perks up a little.

"You didn't tell me you were bringing a friend," he smiles widely. "Hi, I'm Lance. The best pilot ever." He holds a hand out for Jasmine to shake.

"Jasmine, this is Lance, Hunk, Pidge, and Keith? You shouldn't be here," the brunette stated. She shook her head, trying to focus again. "Lance, why did you call me?"

"You'll never believe who is in the medical building." At Lux's prompting, he smiles eagerly. "Takashi Shirogane."

All the color nearly drains from the older girl's face as she stops and nearly freezes, placing a hand over her chest. "Shiro?" She whispers, before Keith swats Lance.
