Kiss Goodbye

Rose's POV

The icy grey sky restlessly grumbled. The thick blackened clouds were dragged down by the heavy rain which it held in its delicate frame. The clouds which struggled to withstand the burden of the weight which the rain held, soon gave in. The rain poured down over the city with a roar. The sound of emptiness was disrupted by the loud gregarious boom of thunder. The cold icy rain pierced my pale and wet skin. My posture weakened by the weight of my soaked clothes. The quality of darkness shifted in the sky but the rain kept pouring. The harsh rain obliterated the crystal reflection of the sky and turned it into a disorientated chaos.

I stood on the  cliff, with mixed feelings of guilt and anger. Anger, for being so stupid to believe Jimin, the popular kid in school would like me, a no one. And guilt for going to the party. He tricked me into thinking that he liked me, spending time with me for almost a year. Until he thought that it was the time and made a fool out of me in front of everyone. I couldn't help but get flashbacks of the time I stood in the middle of the crowd like a fool, while they laughed at me.
Have you ever felt being on the ninth cloud and then being yanked back down to reality? because that's how I felt at the moment.

My hair was damped to my face, but the energy in me was all drained away to even bother anymore. I didn't know what time it was, didn't know if it were tears on my face or just rain, I didn't even know if anyone cared about me anymore. My head began feeling heavy and I began feeling slightly dizzy, not realizing that I was walking dangerously close to the edge of the cliff.

All at once my foot ceases to travel forwards and the scenery starts to blur like a poorly shot action photograph. The colours swirl and blend as my head becomes tilted toward the sea.  I closed my eyes, accepting my fate, realizing that I was falling down and there was no going back now. 

Until I felt as if everything had stopped, I was neither standing nor falling. I felt arms wrapped around me, as I slowly opened my eyes. I must be dreaming I thought as I  saw a guy- a really handsome man,He had tousled dark brown hair, which was thick and lustrous. His eyes were a mesmerizing deep ocean blue, flecks of silvery light performed ballets throughout. His face was strong and defined, his features molded from granite. He had dark eye brows, which sloped downwards in a serious expression. 

Snapping out of my thoughts, I realized that this guy shouldn't be something that I feel attracted to, instead he should be something that I'm scared off because that's when I realized that we were floating in the mid air, this guy here was legit flying. I screamed, trying to push him  away, but immediately regret doing it and instead wrapped my arms tightly around him as I almost fell down, right into the mouth of the ocean. " I have a feeling I'm going to regret my decision on saving you." he says and before I knew, darkness took over.

The next morning I woke up with a smile crept on my lips, remember the handsome guy I met in my dreams. " I knew, a handsome guy could only appear in my dreams." I say as I  turned towards the other side of the bed with my eyes still closed.

"Unfortunately no-the handsome guy you met is real." I immediately shot open my eyes and the first thing I saw was the same guy from my dreams, as he leaned against the headboard. My immediate reaction was to-of course scream while creating as much distance as possible, to the point I ended up giving the floor a high five....with my face.

Remembering the way we were floating in the air, I knew he was nowhere close to being ordinary human being." W-Who are you?" I asked.

 " Who am I as in my name" he says as he got up from the bed, making his  way towards me " or if I'm a human or not." I stayed silent, not knowing if I was looking forward to his answer. " I'm Jin, for you, you  can say....I'm a guardian but others know me as the devil. My breath hitched in my throat, after hearing the last word leave his mouth.
