For warriors, naming can be challenging if you don't know how to do it or the suffixes/prefixes. These are some tips on naming your OC correctly
Appearance
For names, the prefix has to do with their appearance. It also has to do with something the cats know of, for example, a brown kit could be called Oakkit or Cedarkit, since those things both do with brown.
Names also can't be about eye color unless their name is changes after their eyes fully developed color. When kittens are born, they don't open their eyes automatically, it can take several weeks. Even if they do, their eyes would be blue until their eyes are developed. You can't name a kit Greenkit because green isn't a natural cat color and the queen wouldn't be able to see the eye color.
Unnatural Names
There are many names that can be classified as unnatural. These are some things that are considered unnatural (unless under certain circumstances).
For example, you can't name your OC a season. The cats use words such as Newleaf, Leaf-Bare, Greenleaf, and Leaf-Fall. You can't name a kit Winterkit since the cats don't know winter as winter.
Their names also can't be things that the cats don't know of either or that are unnatural. For example, the name Pepperkit or Brickkit could be names if the cats knew of those things and called them those things but if not, you couldn't. Another things you can't do is name them after fantasy creatures unless they have those things or know of them as that. For example, Dragonkit would most likely not work.
One exception to unnatural names is seen by SkyClan. They take in basically part time warriors (or permanent warriors) that are kittypets. This can be exception, for example, with Billystorm.
This is basically it for names. If you have any other suggestions for this topic comment them and I might add them to this chapter.
