I ain't judgin' you
Go and get ya money, Go and get ya money, Go and get ya money
Baby I salute
Go and get ya money, Go and get ya money, Go and get ya money...

I woke up to my alarm going off. I slowly opened my eyes and grabbed my phone turning off the alarm. It was 8 a.m. and I had a lot to do before 12, which was when my mother's funeral started. I sat up and stretched and got out of bed. I was in mid stride to the bathroom when there was a knock on my door. I quickly grabbed my robe and put it on before opening the door. I didn't want Rome to see me in just my panties and bra.

I pulled the door open and there stood Rome in a beater and some basketball shorts.

"Mornin'." he smiled. I smiled back.

"Good Morning."

"There was somethin' at the door for you when I stepped outside. I put it on the dinin' room table."

"Oh ok. Thank you. And thanks again for watching Roman for me last night." I smiled. Rome chuckled.

"No need to thank me. He's my nephew so it's my responsibility jus' as much as it is yours. That's what I'm hea' for."

I smiled and nodded in agreement. "Your right."

"Yep. But I'll let you get back to what you were doin'. I'll be downstairs if you need me."

"Kay."

I closed the door behind me once Rome walked away. I walked over to Romans crib to check on him and to my surprise he was awake, just laying there looking around. I smiled at seeing his chubby face and walked into the bathroom. I needed to give him a bath and get him ready before I got myself ready.

                           *An Hour Later*

After bathing Roman, nursing him, dressing him, giving him to Rome, taking a shower, doing my hair and makeup, then getting dressed; I made my way downstairs and walked into the kitchen. I opened the fridge to make myself a yogurt parfait for breakfast. Just something to hold me until I went out to lunch later.

I grabbed everything I needed and set it onto the counter. Just as I grabbed a knife to cut up the strawberries, I noticed a vase of red roses and a pink envelope sitting on the dining room table. I set the knife down and walked over to the table.

I leaned down to smell the roses and smiled to myself. Picking up the envelope I looked it over to see there was no type of writing on the front or back. Shrugging I opened it up and took out a white folded piece of paper and a stack of money wrapped around a band. I set the money down and opened up the white folded paper to read it.

                          Kiley,
I know we haven't got to talk that much like we want to and I know your probably goin' crazy cray not hearin' my voice, cuz I know I am. But... I jus' wanted to send you these beautiful roses to let you know how much I'm missin' you. I think 'bout you all damn day and not once do you ever leave my mind. You and Roman are the only things that keep me sane out hea' in the fast life. I have somethin' to look forward to when I come home. I know things might be rough righ' now but I promise it'll get betta baby. I love you more than words could ever express. You've given me a beautiful son and I couldn't have asked for any gift greater. I could go on and on but I ain't wanna write a life story. Lol. Hope you like 'em tho.
