I woke up on the couch. Found myself covered with a blanket from my room. The tv was on but Syl was nowhere in sight. I took the covers off and got up. Instant headache. Probably from crying too much.. or too much liquor.. or both.
I walked to my bedroom and bathroom searching for Syl but he wasn't here.
He left.
He left me.
I sighed then walked back to my room. Taking my clothes off, I thought about how stupid I was for telling Syl about everything last night. Maybe he thought I had too much baggage and couldn't deal with it. I kind of felt stupid again and kind of hurt. He could have at least said goodbye before he got up and left.
As soon as my naked body bent over to pick up my clothes on the floor, my bedroom door opened.
"Oh my God! I'm so sorry," Syl said, covering his eyes.
"What're you doing here? I thought you left," I asked covering myself with a towel, a little annoyed but glad he came back.
"No, I just went to get us some breakfast. You looked so peaceful sleeping so I left quietly," he replied. His eyes still covered.
"Oh. Well.. Thank you. And it's okay to look now," I said, feeling kind of stupid about my thoughts earlier.
He removed his hands. He was still dressed in last night's attire. His crumpled shirt was pulled out of his jeans. His dark hair was a little ruffled and the stubbles on his face stood out more. Very sexy I must say.
Syl removed his hand from his face, blushing a little.
"I'll be in the living room waiting on you," he said closing the door.
I got out of the shower and quickly slipped into underwear, a Hollister tee and sweatpants. I grabbed my hair into a ponytail and headed to the living room.
Syl was watching the sports channel. Why am I not surprised?
The breakfast was laid out on the coffee table. He got scrambled eggs, pancakes and bacon and some coffee.
We sat down and ate then started watching 21 Jump Street together. Syl was fun to hang out with. He was a chill person outside of work. Judging from things said about him at work, he seemed very uptight and I was really glad he wasn't.
"Aria, I have to get home now and get cleaned up. I promised my parents I would come over and join them for dinner this evening," he said, getting up from the couch and looking at his watch.
"Oh, no problem. Thanks for staying with me.. And for breakfast," I replied cleaning up the trash on the coffee table.
"You're welcome. And I had fun with you last night. Thanks for coming with me again," he blushed.
"I had fun too," I said, blushing too.
He opened the door then let himself out. Then he opened the door and poked his head inside and asked, "Would you like to join me for dinner at my parents?"
Parents? At your parents? We've been on just one date and you'd already like me to meet your parents?
"Oh, no. I couldn't. I can't," I said quickly.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, maybe some other time."
"Alright then. Bye, Aria," he smiled.
I smiled back then did a little wave. He closed the door.
I put all the trash in the garbage bin then went to my room. I grabbed my cellphone. That sleep on the couch made my back ache a little. I jumped on my bed and checked my cellphone. I had couple emails from work and a text message from Chelsea asking about last night. I saved Sylvester's cellphone number first then I called her and told her about last night to this morning's activities with Syl. She was happy for me but upset that I had to see Chuck and that raggedy bitch last night. She thought Syl was a sweetheart and called me a "scared-y cat" for not going to dinner with him at his parents' house. I didn't care. I don't want to seem too pushy on Syl. I liked him but I wasn't sure if I wanted to get so deep as yet. Especially with my CEO. That wasn't allowed at work. AT ALL. And although he owned the place, I still didn't want to get into all that drama and I'm sure he wouldn't like that too.
I wasn't really sure how he felt about me as yet and I wont be the one to ask.
All I know was my feelings for Syl was growing and I'm scared because maybe it was a little too soon.
