Shijin didn't have time to think, he is not going to let a tragedy happen tonight.
'Shut up. No one is dying here tonight', shijin said coldly to Jang WonHun.
  When he wasn't paying attention, shijin knocked out Jang WonHun with his pistol and carried him over his shoulders like a soldier carrying an injured comrade in a battlefield.
Only 20 seconds was left and they had to get as far as they could from the container.
With the weight on his shoulder, shijin ran as quick as he could. Even when his legs were about to give in, he refused to stop. This 20 seconds meant the fate of many lives.
Although Jang WonHun wanted to end, but shijin didn't want to die just yet. No. Not on this occasion.
'Argggghhhhh!!!', Shijin screamed in vain in between his labored breaths.
'Teamjangnim!!!!', alpha team members yelled through the radio.
And within seconds...the world stopped for everyone.
The massive explosion created a thick layer of smoke in the night sky, covering the stars and the moon. And Shijin was nowhere to be seen.
Harry Potter, who was looking after KwanJoon quickly embraced him and covered his ears. The sound was loud and horrifying. The young boy now confused and in shock.
Daeyoung calculated that shijin must've been around 150-200 meters from the source. But still, by looking at the power of the explosion, he became even more anxious and worried about shijin's wellbeing.
Without hesitation, all the soldiers went out of hiding and into the explosion site;
Everything was burning around them, the port is now a burning hell. The heat was intense and unbearably uncomfortable. The containers were scattered everywhere due to the force of the explosion.
No signs of life present. And no shijin.
Immediately, daeyoung commanded everyone to search around the area for shijin and Jang WonHun.
'Alpha team and Beta team, search around the area ranging 150-200 meters from the source. Report immediately if soryeong (major) Yoo ShiJin and Jang WonHun is found. Contact the nearby hospital as well.', daeyoung commanded the group of soldiers in front of him.
He then turned to Harry Potter, 'keep KwanJoon companied in the van. He must be in shock now.'
The fire engines came to extinguish the flames and the scene calmed down a bit.
And after fifteen minutes of searching, finally, a relieving message was heard...
'WE FOUND THEM!', one of the soldiers yelled.
Everyone including daeyoung rushed towards the source of the noise, finding both ShiJin and Jang WonHun on the ground. Unconscious. But there was a problem....Shijin's left leg was stuck under a container and it didn't look great.
Thankfully the container was empty which would've minimized the force hitting his leg meaning less damage done.
The medical workers from HaeSung Hospital came and took Jang WonHun away with a stretcher, they assured that he was going to be fine. Daeyoung knew that there was going to be trouble because MoYeon would be seeing ShiJin's state right now because they're going to HaeSung. But on the other hand, nothing else mattered more than saving ShiJin and his leg.
The medics gave first aid to his bleeding head and a suspected fracture in his right arm. Then firemen came with equipments to lift the container in order to pull him out.
An hour later, Shijin was finally free and the medics attended to his leg immediately. He was then sent off in an ambulance.
Daeyoung also followed by driving the van with Harry Potter and KwanJoon. He was sure that Moyeon would want to see KwanJoon safe and he wanted to distract her from worrying about shijin.

At HaeSung Hospital
  Doctors were waiting at the emergency bay and they attended to shijin immediately. It was a relief that MoYeon wasn't there, she would be in a lot of pain if she sees Shijin's condition now. Just like last time with sergeant Ahn.      The doctors decided that Shijin must undergo emergency surgery. He broke his left foot in three places and some tissues were damaged at his ankle. Along with a few scratches and bruises on his face, a fractured right arm and two broken ribs. Daeyoung thought that if they didn't discover shijin sooner, he would've lost his leg.
He also knew that people like nurse Choi, nurse Ha and other friends of MoYeon at the ER would inform her about Shijin's admission. So before that happened he explained to them that he was going to meet and tell her personally.
When shijin was sent to surgery, Daeyoung took this opportunity to go and visit MoYeon with KwanJoon. KwanJoon lead the way to Moyeon's office as he always hangs around in the hospital waiting for his mom to finish work and go home. He knows this place inside out.
When they arrived, they were met with MoYeon sitting at her desk, restless.
'Eomma!', KwanJoon called
MoYeon looked up and her eyes widened.
'Joon ah!', MoYeon stood up and ran towards him pulling him into a tight embrace.
She then rested her hands onto his shoulders and pulled him away from the embrace. Her eyes met his and she traced his cheeks with her fingers. As if he was a fragile glass. No scratches and bruises.
'Gwaenchana? Are you hurt anywhere? You must tell me if you don't feel well, ok?', MoYeon asked worriedly.
'I'm fine Eomma.', KwanJoon replied with a small smile.
Tears of relief started to trickle down her cheeks. With his small hands, KwanJoon wiped them away. Just like how shijin does it when MoYeon is down.
'Don't Cry. I'm fine and appa will be fine too.', KwanJoon reassured.
Speaking of 'appa', MoYeon realized that shijin was nowhere to be seen. She turned to Daeyoung who was standing by the door watching the reunion silently.
'Where is Shijin?', she asked
Daeyoung didn't want to ruin the moment but he forced the words out anyways, 'Shijin is in surgery. His left leg is badly injured'.
MoYeon gasped at the news of her husband, she couldn't imagine how much pain he must've gone through. Is he hurt a lot? What if he doesn't make it? Where is he now?
All of these questions flooded her mind. 'Shijin didn't want you to worry. I'm sorry that we couldn't protect him.', daeyoung said with his head down.
'It's alright, as long as he is alive. That is all we can ask for. Thank you.', MoYeon replies with a small smile.

And here they were...MoYeon, KwanJoon and Daeyoung sitting on the benches outside the operation room. MoYeon was constantly updated with Shijin's condition. The surgeon is doctor Jung, one of Moyeon's friend working in the orthopedics department. Shijin will definitely pull through this with his skills. But still, a feeling of uneasiness is still present in MoYeon.
Four hours into the surgery and KwanJoon is now sleeping, resting his head on Moyeon's lap. She brushes his hair with her fingertips and smiles. Her angel, is back by her side in one piece.
'He is strong like his father.', MoYeon said to Daeyoung, trying to ease the tension.
'I know, that's probably why they say 'like father like son'. I have never met any kid as brave as him.', daeyoung agreed.
'I also know they keep secrets between them. A lot of mischief as well.',She chuckled, 'I remember once, they broke a expensive vase at home while playing soccer. Shijin decided to buy a cheap one from the local market to replace it. But they realized that the original one had pink flower prints on it so they painted it on.', she then continued, 'they thought I'd never find out. But I fished it out and scolded those two until they ended up sleeping in the public sauna for the night...they're the dumb and dumber that I come home to everyday.'
'Well, that's what genes do. It sounds like a beautiful normal family life which then becomes a support for moments like this. I really hope there could be more of this with my family as well.', daeyoung acknowledged.

An hour later, the surgery finished. Shijin was moved to a ICU ward. There, the three saw his face again for a slight moment. Even if it was embedded with scratches and bruises, it was great to see him in peaceful sleep. His arm and leg was in a cast. Doctor Jung explained that the surgery was successful and with physiotherapy, he will be able to continue full usage of the left leg.
The anesthetic will take a while to wear off so he wouldn't be conscious for a while. Even so, MoYeon decided to stay for the night with KwanJoon. Daeyoung had to go and take care of Jang WonHun's business, he just wanted to make sure that his friend was not in critical state.
MoYeon slept together with KwanJoon. Her arm on his waist keeping him close to her. They stayed in the resident area of the hospital for staffs. Everyone was tired from today's events. It has been a long night and everything is almost put to an end. No one died. No one lost anyone. And some will get the answers they want soon...
