Another year!

As we take a step into the new year, I hope we all have a wonderful year ahead, InShaAllah.

Alhamdulilah and shukr to Allah for giving us another opportunity to get closer to him and an extra year to take full advantage of the blessings he has bestowed upon us. If Allah so wanted we could have been a step into our onward journey(the qabr) but it is due to his mercy and infinite blessings that we have been given another year to repent and better our deeds before they will taken into account.

This may not be our new year(Muharram) however it is a new start so let this be a motivation for us to become better.

Not just better at dealing with life and handling worldly matters but also strengthening our deen, imaan and link with Allah. Let us use this new year as an opportunity to become better Muslims, not forgetting to enjoy life as well.

We may have sinned a lot in the past one year, we may have forgotten our creator, we may have failed to obey his commands and we may have failed at various other fields, but do not let that put you down and do not think now that you've sinned so much there's no hope for you or that you shouldn't bother trying. Its okay to change,especially for the better. Yes, we may have sinned a lot but Allahs mercy is much greater than our sins.

Start afresh and don't let your past get to you! Set your goals and achieve them. Just think to yourself, if you are supposed to stay the same and not make any improvements in your deen, would Allah have given you another year of his mercy?

So we are going to make the most of this year to enjoy it in the most halal manner. We are going to balance our relationship with Allah with that of this world. We are going to treasure the blessings Allah has bestowed upon us in this world as well as put an extra lot of effort for our aakhirah.

Life is only as good as your mindset. So always think positive. Whatever you focus on grows, if you focus on positivity  then it will grow and if you focus on negativity then it will also grow. So you choose!

When starting something new take the name of Allah, while accomplishing it have faith in Allah and once you have completed it, praise Allah. Use this three precious steps in anything and everything you wish to do and mark my words, Allah will make your task so easy for you and you will always return as a success.

We can do all we want but if Allah did not will for something to happen it will never happen.
"If something is meant for you,it will reach you even if it's between two mountains and if something is not meant for you it will not reach you even if it is between your lips"

The sea didn't claim the life of baby musa(a.s) despite him being thrown inside even though he was at his weakest, whereas that very same sea claimed the life of Pharaoh despite him crossing it at his strongest. This was all by the will of Allah. A lesson we can learn from this; whoever is with Allah,his weakness will not harm him and whoever is distant from Allah, his strength will not benefit him!

Let's hold onto our salaah as there is nothing better than it. Lets be more consistent in reciting the Quraan and put extra effort into putting its words into practice. When we free let's use this time to make dhikr and to learn more about deen. Put effort into covering up and dressing the way Allah has commanded us to do, by doing what Allah has commanded us to do and acting the way Nabee (s.a.w) has taught us, by following the sunnah.

Thank Allah for whatever situation you may be in because it was definitely for a beneficial purpose. Be grateful for whatever you have been given because that's when you will be given more. Be positive about everything.

This year we are going to take responsibility, share love and kindness everywhere we go and always have a smile on our face. By doing these small little things we will find so much of happiness from within.

"There is always hope, never be hopeless. Repent to Allah, Renew ones commitment and faith with positive action. Start a new you, we have the potential. What's holding us back?"

Let's defeat shaytaan and our nafs and fight for our faith and love for Allah!

May Allah grant us a year of success and happiness. May he forgive us for our shortcomings and always shower upon us his abundant blessings. May he guide us all on to the straight path and keep us steadfast in our deen. May he grant us ease in difficult situations and the ability to praise him in good situations. May he protect us from the evils of the world. May he open many doors for us and grant us many more years to come.
