I woke up with my head throbbing in pain. I suddenly heard a voice breaking my thoughts.

“Identity download: complete.” Was that Siri? I slowly tried to open my eyes and tried to focus on what I was looking at. I tried moving my arm but it was strapped to cold metal and so was my neck.

“Excellent. The one that ran away, first.”

“HUMAN 1: Name: Channae Thenne, Age: 19, Abilities: Unknown.”

“What about this one?” A low male voice bellowed.

“HUMAN 2: Name: Opal Thenne, Age: 16, Abilities: Unverified.”

“Well then, we must give Opal a unique ability to bring back her genetically-related sister,” They want me to kidnap my sister? “Instead of your sirinals, sent out two days ago! They’re USELESS!” The voice echoed in frustration. Just as I managed to catch a glimpse of a short fat man in a white lab coat. Everything was dark apart from the huge screen in the middle of the dome. I directed my eyes to every visible corner, more like edge, of the inside sphere. “What abilities to I have to choose from?”

He murmured for a few minutes until he stopped. “Yes! Electromagnetic pulse! I’ll call her Electromagma.”

“Syncing genetic code…” I struggled to break out of the metal clutches but it was gripping tightly on my wrists, ankles and neck. Needles jabbed into both my arms and the mysterious doctor strut closer. I squeezed my eyes shut, forming a wall between the light and my eyes.

“Ah. Electomagma has awaken,” he exclaimed. The footsteps had stopped. I could no more bear the pain in my arm and screamed. My face became cold.

“50% remaining,” Now, this ‘evil Siri’ was officially freaking me out. My fingertips began to burn like I was touching lava. Burning and melting away.

“Stop!” I screamed. I felt tearing this place down brick by brick, metal from metal. Nothing should be left of this. Nothing.

“Genetic code— Electromagnetic pulse: Sync complete.” I gasped for my first breath of air. Thankfully, I haven’t had my last. My face finally felt warm again. I glared at the white coated man straight in the eyes. His face was mad, as in, a crazy scientist. Stiches, veins were all there. He slowly moved away from him. I think he read my mind. I’m going to kill him! He yelled across the room, ordering the mindless software to follow his instructions.

“Siri! Use the chip!” Control me? Brainwash me? It didn’t matter, I knew something bad was going to happen. It was suddenly at ease to break out of the clutches that held me prisoner here, in the steel room. I separated me, from the metal plank I was attached to. I spotted the scientist escaping into the shadows. I had to follow. It was my best bet to flee this metallic cage.

“Siri will now self-destruct in tee-minus five minutes.” That’s just great. I scrambled after the mad scientist until I had come to a dead end.

‘Impossible,’ I thought, ‘I’m sure he went this way!’ I looked for a door or a button of some sort. No use, it was pitch black. So, I blindly place my palms on a side wall. All of a sudden, my hands were glowing red. I lifted my hands away from the cold, hard wall. It had a strong purple ring-glow around it. Slowly, I turned my palms to face me, in case I had a bomb to my hand or that chip attached to me. I saw the front of my hands then that wall that I touched rippled away into nothing. But, my hands remained glowing purple.
