I look at the clock on the radio, it reads 8:15. "Hmm... what to do first?" Just then my stomach grumbles a little. "Billy-Jacks, that sounds really good plus its close by, just a hop skip and jump on and right back off the interstate." I think about it for a couple seconds, I then put the car and drive and head towards the interstate to get on and drive by a couple exits, I turn one the radio and Bare naked Ladies' One week is playing. "Man, can we say flashback to the 90's." I laugh out loud. Finally a sign comes up on my right 42C Parkview Blvd. Just the exit I need. I have a big ear to ear grin thinking about all of the homemade freshness. I make it to the exit I pull on to the off ramp and head in the direction of Billy-Jacks. "Oh I am so ready for this." I make a right at the light got thru another light and it's on the left hand side. I pull into the plaza where it's located, and I actually find a very close parking spot. I get out and head towards the door, the hostess has a big smile on her face. "Good morning. Just one?" I look at her and return the smile. "Good morning. Yes, just me." She leads me to a two seater booth. "Your waitress will be right with you." I nod letting her know I understood her, as I sit and wait looking over the menu. Just then a young lady I say early twenties walks up her name tag reads 'Hi my name is Judy' "Hi, what can I get you to drink while you look over the menu?" "I'd like a coke, no ice, and a small cup of orange juice please." I look at her very happily, as she turns to go get my drink. I sit looking around "Man have they changed things up a lot in here." Judy then walks up behind me. "What can I get you to eat, Mrs. Deveraux?" I look at her as I say "I'd like to have an order of biscuits and gravy, two eggs sunny side up, and toast with strawberry jam." Yeah that sounds amazing. She then says "ok, it will be out in a little bit" and then walks away. I sit pondering what to do after breakfast. For those of you who are new to the area out there, Billy-Jacks is a family run family oriented business, everything here is made from scratch early in the morning. Pictures of the five generations all still living I might add are hanging on the walls in various locations. Billy-Jacks is a place I have gone to since I don't know when. I haven't been here in these past few years though due to my filming schedule. So it feels good to come 'home'. I know I am definitely making up for that now, I chuckle a little. A few minutes later Judy comes back around with my two plates of food, Oh the aroma, smell those freshly pulled out of the oven biscuits and the gravy don't even get me started. It all screams 'homemade.' She takes them off her tray and sits them in front of me on the table. "Enjoy" she says as she turns and walks away. I will I always do. I sit looking at my food wanting to just dive in, I then snap back into reality, I sit there getting ready to prepare my food to be eaten. I laugh a little. I'm actually surprised that there aren't very many people here. But, then yet again, I have to take into consideration that today is Tuesday, and I usually come in on Fridays. I know the two days at the beginning of the work week is usually very hectic. And amazingly that is saying a lot. This is my first official day I have had just for me that I have had in about a year, thanks to my busy schedule. It really feels weird though that after being busy I now have a day just for me, it's very interesting and weird, to go from nonstop to relaxing in one days time. I go back to eating my amazing breakfast, taking my time with every bite. I actually have no reason to rush. So I am going to enjoy it. I go back to eating. A few minutes later I am fully done with everything, I get ready to get my credit card when a young woman I'd say mid to late twenties comes up to me. "Excuse me, I am so sorry to bother you. You wouldn't happen to be June Deveraux would you?" I nod in approval. "Yes, I am." The young lady looks at me as if she had just met the lead singer of one of the popular bands. "May I get an autograph and a picture? Please, I am so sorry again for bothering you; I'm just a big fan." I get in what some would call 'superstar mode' I sign the back of the young lady's shirt, and I take a couple pictures. "Thank you, very much" she says with a big smile on her face. "You are so very welcome, thank you for your support, I'm glad I am able to do everyone proud." I say as I smile in her direction. She smiles back, I know I made her day, but what she doesn't know is that she has made mine. What I mean is every time I see a fan smile like how she smiled it warms my heart so much. She then heads back in the direction in which she came. I find my credit card, and go to pay my bill when the manager informs me that my breakfast is on the house. Man, what a morning, I can only imagine how the day will go starting off like this. I smile a little. Who in there 'me' days would ever expect or even receive a morning like this? Not me, but then yet again me being me wasn't expected either. Again snapping back into reality, I head out the door, I make it out when a couple of people run up to me screaming "JUNE DEVERAUX!!!!!!" I do adore all my fans, so I stand as still as I can and open my hands to give them a hug. I really don't know how to show my appreciation to them for all the support they have given me all these years. Whether I was playing a bad guy or a good guy they stand behind me. And I am so grateful for that. Meanwhile, I am standing outside Billy-Jacks. "June, June, can I get your autograph?" "Yeah sure, how are you today?" one of the people look as if they are about to faint. The other is standing in silence, unsure of what was just said. It's like by me talking has taken their voice or something. The knowledge of what's going on finally sinks in, they finally say, "I'm great." The other cuts in "I can't believe it!" "Well, believe it." I really am speechless, that never happens. I know they must not run into too many celebrities very often. My day, no matter how weird is still starting of and going so smoothly. Now just to pray it finishes well. *Fingers Crossed* A little while later, still at the shopping plaza window shopping, man I forgot how fun this all was. Just then I make it to the other end of the plaza. Swen Day Spa. Oh my gosh I am so ready for this. This place has everything 'One hour massage by Nate, One hour massage by power jets (which is very relaxing), Manicure, Pedicure, Steam room, a swimming pool (that's heated)'. Now the question what order to do all of this in? I think I will start with the steam room, then go for a swim then the Mani, Pedi, then finish it off with both types of massages. Yea that's how I will do it. "Hello, Mrs. Deveraux what can we do for you today?" Says a young man from behind the counter. I stand there remembering the order I had just figured out in my head and repeat it. "I think I will start with the steam room, then go for a swim then the Mani, Pedi, then finish it off with both types of massages." The young man then says "are you ready for your morning/afternoon of utter and complete relaxation to start?" "Oh, yes I am." He leads me down the hallway which leads to the steam room. He turns a couple knobs and the heat has been turned on. He leaves me, in what they call a prep room. I am now alone now in one big room. Oh my never really ever happens. A few minutes later I am dressed in only a white snug robe. I start to think to myself "June, one step to take to be in complete relaxation." Just then a worker brings me a glass of finely chilled wine and a wine glass. "This is for you Mrs. Deveraux, no charge." I stand there in shock "ok, thank you very much." I say with a smile, not really knowing what to say. He says "enjoy" and walks back to the desk. I continue to head into the steam room. I open the bottle and pour myself a glass. I sit and prop my feet out. "Ahhhh, this I can get used to." I look at the clock it reads 10:30. "Hmmm... I wonder what else will happen today." I take another sip; I really start to feel very comfortable. This I can see myself do more often. Not even five minutes has passed and I feel so free.
