A sharp pain hit me. I groan and try to move my hands, but they were tightly tied behind my back. I flutter my eyes open, and the light burns my pupils. I look around to see Kai sitting on a sofa reading a book.
I cough and struggle, trying to get out of the ropes, but to no avail. He grins and walks over to me, leaning in towards me. I flinch and look to my right, his lips hovering over my cheek, with every word, I felt a warm breath. "You are not easy to find, I'll tell you that Y/N." He kisses my cheek softly
"Do you remember that time, we snuck out through my window and sat by the lake?" He smiles. I whimper and look away from him "That was Malachai Parker, my best friend. You're just an empty shell of him." I say, with a soft growl.
He places his hand on his heart "Ouch, I'm hurt, truly, Y/N I'm still that Kai." He says, twisting my hair in his fingers.
"You tried to kill me, the Kai I knew would never have even thought about it." I say, quietly. He grins "You were trying to protect Lukas and Olivia." He shrugs. I growl, looking him in the eye "You stabbed me in the shoulder!" I yell, venom dripping from my voice.
He smirked and slides my shirt down my shoulder, looking at the scar. I growl and headbutt him, causing his nose to bleed. He wipes his nose and laughs "Ow, that almost hurt."
He flicks his wrist in a line, cutting off my windpipe with magic. I choke, trying to cough or say something "K-Kai! S-stop can't...br-breath." I whimper and he releases. "Man you've gotten stronger, tell me why aren't you with my cover anymore?" He grins.
"I gave up on magic Kai, it controlled me and I did horrible things, I haven't used it in 12 years." I growl.
He laughs "Well I kinda need you to go back to our evil ways, in order for my plan to work." He smiles, using magic to cut down my collar bone. Blood drips onto my shirt, and I flinch at the pain. "plan? what plan?" I ask, trying to stall. "I'm going to kill everyone in my coven." He grins.
A tear slips down my cheek "What happened to you...?" I ask, close to a whisper. He smiles and wipes the tears away "Let's go through the memories." My eyes widen, knowing his plan to make me think he's still the Kai I knew.
"YOU are not Kai, you are not my best friend!" I hiss. He smirks "We were more than friends, remember Y/N?" He traces circles all around my leg. "Like the time that you dragged me to the river, and we both cuddled in a field next to the river. We watched the moon all night." He whispers into my ear. "Don't you want that back?" He asks slowly untying my hands. I whimper "Stop! Please! That wasn't you!" I cry, pushing him away.
His eyes widen, and his expression softens "Y/N please don't cry..." He says cupping my face in his hands, I look at him in pure confusion. It was like he was a different person. Well, it's the perks of being a sociopath. A few more tears slip down my face "How.... could you...they are family! To both of us." I sniffle "Please, don't do this Kai." I say, laying my head on his chest.
He runs his fingers through my hair and sighs "Y/N.... I'm sorry." I look up at him "Wha--" he kisses me softly. I kiss back and a tear slips down my face. He smiles sadly "If you won't help me I'm afraid, I-I can't keep you in my life....I can't stand the thought of you hating me forever..."
And with that he was gone... forever
