We were already to leave, we just have to go pick up Lori and head out. Shane had informed me that Rick was no longer alive. When he arrived at the hospital after the last report went out he said military were going through an shooting patients because the ones who were dying were coming back as those creatures. I hurried an put the rest of my things into my SUV an had Carl sit up front with me. We backed out of the driveway an followed behind Shane to Lori’s house, I parked on the side of the road waiting while Shane helped Lori with her things.

“Carl, why don't you look through my CD collection and choose one to listen to.” I said to Carl. He began to browse through the big CD book I had in the car. I had a good collection of artists. He eventually found one, he had chose a Kid Rock CD. I grabbed it from his little hands an slid the disc into the player. Music flooded through the car. I looked over an saw Lori hop into the passenger seat of Shane's Jeep. We planned on heading towards Atlanta, to the closest refugee camp. I followed after him on this long winding road ahead of us.

We soon reached the expressway an followed the traffic that kept building up. I was right behind Shane, hoping the traffic would clear up some. It's getting heavier an they are slowing down. We kept moving for another couple hundred feet and came to a complete stop. I looked at the time on the radio an it read six in the afternoon. I glanced at Carl and seen that he was fast asleep. I smiled knowing he was sleeping peacefully. We sat in the same spot for about twenty minutes waiting for the cars to inch forward. Twenty minutes turned into hours….

Around 8:30 people just started to get out of their cars to move around. I made sure everything in my holster was secure an got out to find Shane, he had told me to stay put with Carl an Lori. He should have known better than to ask me that. I left Carl with his mother who was talking with this short grey haired woman and her daughter. I pushed myself through the crowd of people trying to spot the tall dark haired man I call my boyfriend. I finally spot him, he is talking to the older man who was wearing a fishing hat and khaki shorts by an RV. I wanted to scare him a little so I snuck up quietly behind him and wrapped my arms around his torso.

“This man here with the RV, his name is Dale. It doesn't look like the traffic is gonna move at all so we thought about sitting in th-,” Shane was cut off by the sounds of military choppers flying low above us. “They’re heading towards the city…”  Shane took off running towards the clearing that has an amazing view of Atlanta. I jogged after him. I watched as the choppers zoomed towards the city an the started dropping bombs in the streets. I stopped in my tracks an just watched in disbelief, I was shocked. I couldn't move.

15 minutes later~

Everyone, an I literally mean everyone is panicking. We found Lori an Carl in the whole mess and went to meet up with Dale once again. Shane said we could use Dale's RV and supplies, plus gather a group of people. Shane’s plan was to make a survival ground and head up mountain and into the woods. I asked Carl to ride with me again. We got into my SUV an waited to follow behind Shane once again, though there was a struggle getting the RV turned around with all these cars in the way.
Once we got into the other side of the highway we made our way to the next exit. Our new group consisted of a few people, Dale and these two blondes who are sisters. Carol, her husband and daughter, and a few others as well. We reached the exit an got off making our way to this lake. It was a perfect spot in the woods. Good coverage, fresh water, wild game. It was overall a good place to be during the apocalypse.

We pulled into the clearing positioning the cars in a circle around what would be our campsite. Shane decided it would be best for us to share a tent tonight with Lori and Carl. I didn't mind, considering it was late in the night and everyone seemed very exhausted. Hell I was exhausted. I grabbed a protein bar an some water to wash it down with. I realized I haven't ate since this morning. I sat in the driver's seat until Shane had the tent set up. I grabbed our blankets and proceeded to make the bed, while Lori made her and Carl's. I threw the last pillow at the head the blankets and laid down. I took a deep breath in an exhaled slowly. Soon enough Shane made his spot next to me and pulled me close to his chest. Before I knew it I was passed out like nothing even happened today.

The next morning the group was getting to know each other. There was Amy, and Andrea, who were the sisters riding along with Dale. Two very scary looking brother Merle and Daryl Dixon. Morales and his family, TDog and Jacqui. Glenn, and this mechanic named Jim. Also Carol, her husband Ed, and daughter Sophia. Turns out Ed is an abusive asshole to his wife. Its sad, you can see how it affects Sophia.

As the day goes on we get our camp safe an secure. We positioned all the cars where we could take off easily when an if needed. An the RV was on the highest part of the ground so Dale could keep an eye out to see if any others come this way or if the walkers are making their way to us.

Skipping a couple days.~
I was sitting next to the fire, hand resting on my belly. I couldn't possibly bring a child in to this now fucked up world. The sun was rising higher up into the sky, making the day hotter. I looked over towards Lori who was stirring up a stew. It looked gross but smelled good. Maybe that was just because I haven't ate since yesterday. I've been trying to give most of my portions to the people who needed it most. Amy walked up to Lori with a little red pail, that held a small portion of mushrooms she has found.
"This is all I could find." She said, handing the pail over to Lori, who dumped some mushrooms into a small silver bowl. "I hope they aren't poisonous. I don't know how to tell if they are." Amy finished.

"We will have to wait till Shane gets back to make sure." Lori said. Speaking of Shane, me and him have come very distant the past couple of day, although to me it seems like him and Lori have been becoming closer. My jealousy kicked in like a fireball blasting through the sky, but then my caring side is saying that she just needs someone close to her. She needs to be comforted. I can see that, but they keep disappearing with each other, and something tells me they are doing other things.
"I'm gonna go look for more." Lori said, interrupting my thoughts. She stood up and started to walk away.
"I could help you?" Amy said.
"No, it's ok. You can rest, you've done enough for now." She said walking away. That voice in my head kept telling me to get up and follow her. To help her of course. I felt like I haven't done nothing for our huge group. Except do mine an Shane's laundry. So I stood up and followed her.  I didn't walk fast, if I did it just would wear me out more, me being pregnant an all it gets really hot.
I was following Lori into the woods. I slowed down. I would catch up to her no doubt. I slid my hand to my back pocket to make sure my handgun was there. Just incase a walker would jump out on me. You never know if something is gonna pop out at you. Lori was still in my sight, but I was sure she couldn't see me. I sped up a little bit. I was maybe 20 feet from her when Shane jumped out and scared her. I jumped behind a tree before he could see me. I thought about scaring them. It was risky but I thought it would be funny. I peeked my head out an saw something I never wanted to see in my life…
