Kimmy walked into the small little coffee shop, her day had been a long day and she just wanted something warm against the cold weather. Inside the shop wasn't much space but it made the area seem cozy. She walled to the empty counter and rang the bell. Out came one of the prettiest girls Kimmy had ever seen, she had nice tan skin and soft-looking brown hair and a name tag that read "Aya". Kimmy forgot that she had to order and just stared for a but before snapping out of it. She quickly ordered the first thing she saw on the menu, she had been silent for too long.
"So." Aya started to speak but didn't really know where to go from there as she made the drink.
"Do you like working here?" Kimmy helped break the ice between them.
"Hmm well not really, at least the people that come in here." Kimmy was pretty sure she hallucinated a wink after that line.
They carried a conversation, it was awkward and short as her drink was finished but it was nice.
After taking her cup she walked out and a voice called out from behind her,
"Thank you, come again soon!"
And oh boy would she back.
The next month Kimmy was a regular customer that came almost everyday and had grown a crush on Aya. They had a conversation every know and then and it meant the world to Kimmy. She walked in and ordered something new off the menu. The barista handed her the drink and Kimmy took notice of the little note in the lid. She took the cup and sat down, the note read "Aya, ###-###-####" Kimmy looked over at the counter to find her smiling at her. She took out her phone and added the number, she was definitely going to keep being a regular here.
