Alice awoke with a sneeze. Someone had talked smack about her. She disregarded the new information. She was on the abandoned home planet of her pseudo-family. It wasn't like she could actually do anything about it. Alice felt adrenaline nearly shoot through her systems as something slowly coaxed her body back to sleep. Her awareness was leaving her at such a rate that her body was unaware that it was an unnatural sleep.
As her eyes began to drift close she saw a clear glass cover slowly appear above her. One of the last things she heard was the clicking of machines whirring back to life as they completed their ancient objectives. Before the young woman went comatose though, a male voice filtered into her ears.
"Kept in protected slumber, I entrust to you Alice Witwicky, the task of saving my children upon your awakening. You will not forget."
