Alice woke up to blaring alarms. It wasn't unusual, with Sideswipe and Sunstreaker messing with the base's security system every so often. The difference this time is that the alarmed was patterned differently. This pattern meant that Sam had a problem. Specifically a Decepticon-shaped problem.
She ran out of the medbay, mentally thanking Jazz for placing her near the floor when he woke. Dashing through the hallways and into the training hall, she spotted 'Bee pretty quickly. Said 'bot instantly opened his driver door, allowing Alice to get in and buckle up.
She slid into 'Bee's alt mode along with Mikaela, worry flooding her body. A Decepticon signal had been discovered at Princeton, Sam's college. Only his first day and he was already in trouble. She worked herself into a tizzy the entire four hour ride to to the college. Once they finally got there, Mikaela got out and headed to Sam's dorm.
Ten minutes later and 'Bee was speeding away with a frantic Sam and extremely irritated Mikaela in the back.
"Sam, why do I taste motor oil in my mouth?" Alice asked, her face cringing at the taste.
"A 'Con decided to liplock with me." Sam replied, voice dripping in confusion and disgust. Alice shuddered.
"Next time one tries, knife 'em. Or get 'Bee to shoot 'em up." Alice suggested, mentally hating the fact that she was going to have to deal with the taste of motor oil for awhile.
Alice said nothing more as they road, the only sign of her relief that Sam was alright being the lack of fidgeting fingers. Alice leaped from Bumblebee, trying to protect Sam from the apparently resurrected Megatron and his tiny droid friend of death.
"The femme who shot me." Megatron drawled out. Alice gave him an affronted look.
"Excuse you, how do you even know it was me?" She shot back, crossing her arms. Megatron's optics grew curious.
"You're saying that it wasn't you?" The evil warlord questioned.
"No, I'm saying that it might not have been. I mean, how far away was she? It could've been a female soldier? Why do you automatically assume it was the civilian? I literally sleep more than a third of my life away why the hell do you think I'd be awake for your stupid invasion/artefact hunt thing?" She demanded, throwing her arms up in the air.
"So it wasn't you," Megatron concluded.
"You shouldn't assume things, it isn't good for your health," Alice deadpanned. She kicked the tiny droid of death away from Sam. "Oi! Keep your grubby servos off my twin!"
"And what would you know of Cybertronian health, fleshling?" Alice sniffed at the term.
"A lot more than would make you comfortable," she looked passed Megatron, "Not that I hate talking to you, but you're kinda the leader of my enemy faction. So, nice distracting ya." Megatron snarled as whirled around, only to see that no 'bot was there. Alice and Sam on the other hand, were fleeing for their short, fleshy lives. They were almost hidden when Megatron looked back, ordering the death droid to capture them both.
"Scalpel! Don't let them get away!" Megatron roared. Alice cursed silently, nearly dragging Sam in an effort to make him go faster.
"Run faster!" She grunted at him.
"I am running faster!" Sam yelled back. Alice abruptly stopped and whirled around, realising that they weren't going to get away at this rate. She pulled her survival knife from her boot and brandished it, feet sliding into a defensive position.
"Keep running!" She shouted at Sam, staring Scalpel straight in the optics.
"You think to defeat me, human?" The death droid taunted with a robotic German accent, waving his sharp yet spindly arms at her. Alice narrowed her eyes, teeth clenched stubbornly.
