Halo! I just wanted to thank everyone for the 1K reads! Thank you so so much! It means a lot! But, I also wanted to say that this chapter will be in............ Chris's POV! Yay! I just wanted to do something different because I literally got writer's block trying to figure out what happens next. I may have to do some research into the show about the next challenge and blah blah blah. But what better way than to switch things up by making it Chris's POV! And ik the previous chapters weren't really reader-chan's POV, but it kinda was and it revolved around them. So, I think it's safe for me to add this chapter.

I don't know how this will make people feel, but I'm starting his POV from all the way back to the beginning of last chapter. Sorry!🙏😫 but you gotta know things. Ily!

Chris's POV

As I was walking towards the spa room, one of the staff members of the hotel came to me to tell me dinner was ready. Well, there goes my massage.

As I was walking back to my room, I passed the infirmary. I wonder if (y/n) is still in there.... No! She is a contestant. You can't.....this way.....with her. She's just....your favorite contestant. Yeah! That. Because of her.....attitude? It doesn't matter. Uhhh! I need to focus on the show.

......but I should really check to see if she is ok. Insurance reasons. But what if she doesn't want to see me? I mean, she seemed pretty pissed the other day.... I'll knock just in case.

I knocked on the door 3 times in a rhythm. I could barely hear her soft sniffle. Is she crying?

"Please Justin. Not right now. I already asked her. She's getting the things right now. What more do you want from me?" She said with a thick tone in her voice.

Justin? He's on the other team. Why would he be here? And who is getting what things? All these questions were drowning me, but what kept me afloat was that she sounded hurt. Heartbroken even. Without knowing what I was doing, I opened the door and walked in.

Her eyes were red. She was wearing a t-shirt and some shorts that the nurse handed over to her. After capturing her image, she gave me a confused look.

"Sorry. I'm not Justin. I'm just here to tell you that dinner was ready if you, uh, were hungry."

I stood there in silence, hoping I could think of something to say. I switched my body weight to my other leg, trying to make myself comfortable with all the tension and silence. Then, (y/n) started to speak.

"Listen Chris. I'm sorry about what happened the other day. It's just, ther-," before she could even finish, I interrupted her. "No. Don't apologise. I was making you uncomfortable. It was only logical for you to yell nonsense at me. Anything to change the tension you were feeling. I'm sorry for putting you in that kind of position."

I looked down at the ground, feeling ashamed of myself for ever thinking that she had no right to be mad. That I wasn't in the wrong. Then, she started yelling again. "No! That's not it! Your not listening! Please, just listen..." She ended her argument softly. Almost as if she were hurt.

I grabbed a spare chair and pulled it up right next to her. "Ok (y/n). I'm listening." She looked taken aback like she didn't expect me to say that, but then the gears in her head started spinning, like she was trying to gather her words. I noticed how when she thinks about things properly, she closes her eyes and brings her eyebrows close together, almost to a knit. Her lips slightly part and she has a soft, breathy mumble that follows.

She finally figured out what to say as her face went back to normal.

She started telling me about this Camera Man and she had to act fast, so she made it look like I was crying since that's how I was positioned according to her. She apologized for yelling, but she didn't want my future to be at stake because of a mere misunderstanding. I couldn't help but tear up a bit. She didn't hate me. I was relieved.
