Damn I forgot how much I loved Pidge and Keith's fanon friendship.
Also I need a Harry Potter book to rant about HP stuff (Mostly the Sorting Hat theory which I strongly believe in and how Regulus didn't deserve this). In way Lauren was right (IN A WAY) when she said 'the snake one is bad'. Because if you believe that the sorting hat chooses your house based on your values the biggest value of the Slytherin house is of blood purity. People change over time and when you're younger you probably won't stay like that. But your values don't change mostly. Okay mine did but most people's don't (my values changed from Social bullying, I have a reason).
Regulus is said by Sirius as soft which can apply as believing stuff easily which isn't cunning. Draco wasn't particularly cunning and manipulative when he was eleven. Just whiny. And obviously believed in blood purity. Hermione said she was considered for Ravenclaw and she does value knowledge and wit. But she says "Books? And cleverness? There are more important things. Like friendship and bravery" and also "I hope I get into Gryffindor-". She wasn't the most Gryffindor-like person but that was probably why she got in. Neville might have gotten brave later on but at first he was a scared-y cat (no offense to Neville I love him). Peter Pettigrew never became brave yet he was a Gryffindor. Lockhart couldn't clear up the pixies although three pre-teens could. but he was a Ravenclaw. The Weaselys all have been taught that Gryffindor was the best house (and I head-canon Lance's family to be exactly the Weasleys if they were in the Hogwarts Universe). Ron wasn't shown as courageous but he got into Gryffindor like he wanted.
Harry was a different case because he had no values. He thought he was gonna get sent home, told there was a mistake. He had Slytherin qualities (Resourcefulness, determination, a knack for breaking the rules (which is why I put Keith in Slytherin)) but he didn't want to be in Slytherin. Fred and George not only were resourceful, determined, had a knack for breaking the rules but also were ambitious, cunning and could be manipulative, could take advantage of others.
Harry says the sorting hat gives you a choice. Dumbledore says it's your choices that what define you. No one has ever complained about what house they go in. So you can technically choose your own house. You don't even need quizzes. Also Helga is very under-appreciated.
