Off the rooftop he jumped and landed, shrouded within a cloud of snow.
His steps were heavy as he walked towards the door. He slowly twisted the knob, pushing the door open. Silently, he tiptoed to the rooms of the children.
"Naughty or nice?" He asked, his voice gravelly.
"N-N-Nice," replied the small Susie in a terrified whisper.
"Naughty. Naughty, naughty, naughty." He repeated the word as he hefted the child into his bag.
"Naughty or nice?" He asked Susie's brother Johnny.
"Naughty," he whispered, a guilty expression passing over his countenance.
Impressed by the boy's honesty, he hit the child with a cane and took his leave.
