- if taehyung wasn't going to help me break up with tzuyu I'll do it myself.

jeongguk thought as he walked through her heavily flowered front yard to reach the doorstep. He tapped his maroon vans on the concrete steps and she swung it open.

"kookie! hey!" She smiled and he awkwardly smiled in return, "did you want to come in?"

"no, I think you should step outside — it won't take too long." He gave her a small smile despite her face of confusion, she stepped forward and closed the door behind her.

"Look I've been thinking about this for a whi-"

"I'm sorry, Jungkook, I can't do this." she cuts sharply through his sentence and he freezes in confusion.

"What?"

"We need to break up." She sighs.

Jeongguk stands in confusion, startle but not in a bad way, and was also kind of glad. She took both his hands in hers and it took all of his willpower not to snatch them back.

"I'm sorry, Jungkook, I know this will hurt for you. I hope you can find someone for you in the future. I know this was unexpected, but I can't return your feelings for me any longer."

"O-oh?"

Jeongguk tried not to scoff at her little speech, and she gently slipped her hands out of his. Jeongguk wiped his hands on the sides of his black denim jeans.

"I like someone else now." She spoke in some sort of boastful tone.

"Oh, that's good, who?" Jeongguk asked in pure curiosity.

"Taehyung."

Before Jeongguk could react, she stepped inside and began to close the door.

"Goodbye, Jeongguk." She smiled sadly as she closed the door. He chuckled to himself as he walked down the steps.

He, who barely had to say anything the entire time, spoke to himself,

"Easier than I thought."
