I lied with half my body dangling off a couch like a flimsy ragdoll, stick of chocolate pocky between my teeth as I listened to Taehyung tell me about Jungkook's recent splitting with the bitc- i mean, less than lovely girl.

"Yeah, Apparently it was her that broke it off." Taehyungs voice came out a little muffled, since he was a bit away from his phone brewing a cup of coffee. I furrowed my eyebrows as I took the pocky between my middle and index finger and slipped it out of my mouth, action kind of resembling smoking a cigarette.

"What?" I questioned in disbelief, lifting my head to make eye contact with taehyung through the pixelated skype video call, who was stirring a metal teaspoon in a bulky mug. He hummed and I lied back down. I chuckled a little to myself as I imagined the blow it must've been to his ego and pride.

"They're both tools, so.." he trailed off, no intention of finishing his sentence. I squinted my eyes at the ceiling as I absent mindedly voiced my agreement. I didn't see it, but when the sound of the teaspoon hitting the walls of the coffee stained mug suddenly halted, I knew that he glared in suspicion before continuing to stir his coffee.

"Speaking of Junglebook, Has he talked to you recently?"

with a few seconds of humming in contemplation i answered, "no," and he just nodded. The room went silent, despite the clock in the corner ticking away. I felt like there was something pulling at his heart, and I jumped out of my skin when the sound of the teaspoon clattering to his bench erupted from my speakers.

"Look, Minseo, you can talk about Jungkook. We dont have to be dating when nobody is watching." He spoke calmly, despite the hurt i could hear at the very back of his voice. I was going to interrogate him, but decided against it.

"He won't text me! how fucking hard is it to pick up. the fucking. phone. and type a few words. and press send!? Will he ever fucking text me?!" I ranted at the top of my lungs and he chuckled, he shrugged.

"Ask someone who knows." He joked and my eyes landed on my iPhone, halfway off the table as it charged in a nearby outlet. With a sigh, I yelled,

"Hey siri."

The phone screen lit up, and I could see the colorful ribbons along the bottom of my dimly lit phone screen dancing with each other as I started talking again.

"Will Jeongguk ever text me?" I asked, not really expecting anything other than 'sorry, I didn't quite understand'. Taehyung chuckled as he carried his laptop balanced on one arm as he skillfully held the coffee in the other arm, keeping it steady to avoid spillage.

"Okay, sending, "will you ever text me?" To Jeon Jeongguk." Siri stated.

I shot up, eyes wide as the serene ambiance of taehyung cackling to himself so hard he was gaping for air the background filled the room, little shit knew it was going to happen. I darted across the living room to reach the phone and it fell to the floor.

Without bothering to panic about the possibly now broken screen (it was fine.) I swiped left and entered my password. And there it was, in all its glory. A big blue bubble that read "will you ever text me?" Sent to for sure the right contact. Not to mention the seen sign below it and the typing symbol.

Nice job minseo.
