The next day I woke up too two screaming kids jumping on my bed.
"Wakey Wakey Wakey BB" Courtney shouted in my ear.
"Yewh, Wakey Big B !!! I want my big bwoy pancwakes!!!" The jumping stopped for a minutes as they shuffled out the door. I rolled over and went back to sleep, only to be woken by the clanging of pots and even more screaming.
"WAKE UP YOU LAZY POOPOO!! WE WANNA GO PAAAARK!!!"
"YEEEEEWWWH!!!!! PWWWAAARRK!!!"
Groaning I roll over, I grab Courtney and start tickling her so she's squirming on the floor. I laugh at how much she looks like a worm in her wrinkled pale pink PJ's.
"AHHHHH!! ST.....S.....STOP!! BB!!!" She's giggling so much she can barley form her words and little will has already fled screaming.
"Come on let's get pancakes, court" I hop outta bed and get changed while she runs off to find will. taking out a pair of black skinny jeans and a dark red half sleeved shirt, I walk down stairs and start cooking.
10 minutes later I have a big pile of pancakes, 2 dribbling kids and 2 tired parents.
"Grubs up, come and get it while you can" I sing happily as they all dig in. just as I was about to start mine the doorbell rings.
"Be a sweetie and get that Binnky, it's most likely Mrs Asby from next door for her washing. It's in the living room" Sue asks while making a coffe
"Sure thing Sue, how much this time?" I ask hopping off my stool and heading for the door.
"Just tell her this weeks on me!"
"Gott'ya!" Grabbing the basket in the way past I open the door saying.
"Now Mrs Asby before you say anything mom say it's on-"
"Well actually I'm not Mrs Asby but, for you... Well for you, I could be" I look up and see a boy standing there, he winks at my blank face.
"Oh sorry, I thought you where the neighbour" I say putting the basket behind the door again.
"What can I help you with?" I ask politely, I can see how he keeps flexing and unflexing and try hard not to laugh at his obvious attempt at! flirting.
"I can think of a few ways you can hel- OW!!"
"I don't think flirting with my Daughter is appropriate, do you Jacob?" My farther asks his face serious yet you could still see the amusement in his eyes.
"Can't blame me for trying" he say flashing me a proper grin.
"It's not going to work so you might as well save you're breath, now go wait in the car before I tell you're farther" Chris was smiling so you knew he wasn't being serious but Jacob turned around after smiling at me before walking to the Black Range Rover on the side walk. I watch his retreating back and laughed. Chris smiled and said,
"Well I see you've met Jacob Bouche, eldest of the Bouche family"
I look closer and can actually see the similarities between him and Billy. Jet black hair, dark eye, strong jaw and he was BUILT.
"Yeah I guess you could say that! So...what are you here for... da... Chris" I change last minute as it's still to weird to call someone other than Phil, Dad.
"Well I was wondering if you wanted to go out today, you could get to know each other more and you can... re-meet... Jacob. that's if you wanted of course"
I smile at him,
"no it's ok, but I promised Courtney and Will I would take them to the park today" I say frowning. "sorry"
"No Worrys! We can go there with them aswell! it'll be nice to spend sometime with my daughter." he says sincerely, I nod.
"Ok, let me just get them, then we can leave"
Turning away I run into the kitchen to see a complete mess, sighing I call out to Sue while grabbing Courtney and wills arms.
"Sue, I'm taking the littles to the park with Chris!!! I have my phone don't worry"
"Ok sweetie be safe, Phil is at work and I'll be next door bye have fun my babies!"
With that I shut the front door and looked up to see Chris in the car waiting.
"Best behaviour guys remember" I warn the littlies.
"Yes mini mom"
"Sooo..... BINNKY, that's a weird name, do you know who your named after?" Jacob had been asking me random and weird questions like this for the past 2 hours In the park. Chris had suggested that he'd take the littlies so I could 'get to know jacob'. So far all that had happen was me becoming a little creeped out by him.
"No, for the last time I don't know WHO I was named after"
"Not at all?"
"Why do you want to know?" I ask frustrated.
"No reason, just thought there would be an interesting story behind it." he grinned at me before moving on to different topic and after awhile I began to relax and enjoy myself. We met up with Chris and the kids a the ice cream parlour.
"BB !! we went on the swings then the slide then the climbing wall then we went in the tunnel and Chrisy had to go in with Will cos will was scaaaared-"
"Was not" will crossed his arms and glared at his sister, she just stuck out her tongue before before finishing her story.
"-and he got stuck! The park men had to pull chrissy out!!" she laughed as Chris grumbled.
"Yeah yeah, how bout you take your brother to pick the ice cream you want?" Chris says handing her a £20 and shooing her away.
"So, you guys have fun? find out anything interesting about eachother?" This last part he asked looking directly at Jacob who very slightly shook his head 'no' . I frowned thinking that something weird was going on. ignoring it I ask the question that's been bugging me all day.
"Where's Billy?" they both seemed to freeze before Jacob answered,
"Urhh... well.. see.... he had, work, to do so couldn't make it" He sounded suspicious but I didn't question it instead shrugging and getting up to help Courtney and Will with their ice creams.
As looked back at the table I saw Chris and Jacob chatting seriously. She frowned. something's not quite right with them.
